We were on a bike ride from Victoria and came across the little coffee shop. Ordered a hot and cold lattes with the breakfast sandwich. Amazing! Food and drinks came hot and quickly ! Very efficient! It's a little off the bike trail maps just worth the add on! Much more relaxed than Oak Bay Village!

Ordered the breakfast sandwich and a latte. The sandwich was on a freshly made biscuit topped with pesto, fried egg, 2 slices of avocado, tomato and cheese. It was flavorful but would have liked more filling as it was predominantly biscuit. Pricey at $11 and if you wanted bacon it was an additional $3. The bakery items looked good.

It was crazy busy every day the week we stayed near Oak Bay - clearly popular. I had to have my coffee fix, so waited in the long line, but always want to support local. Coffee and cookie were great. Staff were busy and helpful. But the inside was absolutely spotless. As a neat freak I was super impressed. As cafes and restaurants can overlook things like dust and crumbs. Loved that the display cases and the floor was incredibly clean. Location is charming and a cute place to walk around with a coffee.

Ruth & Dean never fails with their food and baked goods, it is always delicious! Especially the earl grey cake.. I've had a slice for breakfast on multiple occasions:) Since moving to Oak Bay, it has been my go-to spot to have a coffee and sweet treat! Overall a wonderful atmosphere. Don't hesitate to give this place a try, you won't be disappointed. <3

Super jolly staff and a beautiful plant filled space to enjoy a cup of jo in. Also, if you have never liked cake before (as I did years ago before meeting Rudy) you have to try the 5 layered beauties by the slice. Always changing and always delicious. BIG thanks Ruth and Dean staff! You always put a smile on my face <3

Man oh man where to begin!! The pastries and surprise delights in the case are always fresh and consistent. Coffee. Period. The best I have ever had in any form. With Monogram beans and the care that goes into making each cup is so appreciated. The menu for breakfast and lunch holds onto its prize meals (aka the breakfast sandwich, chicken noodle soup, vegan sandwich and more) are always there to hug you, and Rudy's always cheffing up new recipes to enjoy. There is so much creativity and love in this place. Please stop by for big smiles, tasty nums, and sweet treats to keep you jazzed all day. Much love Rudy! Keep on doing what you do best.

The worst customer service experience I have ever had. We dealt with this company for multiple years,through the pandemic, working with them when we could have just cancelled, just to be blamed for their own mistakes and terrible communication skills in the end. So happy we decided to go with someone else for our wedding cake. The only reason I will ever remember this place is because of the stain they left on the memory of our wedding planning experience. Do not trust these people with your wedding cake unless you truly do not care how it turns out.Seeing how they handle negative reviews is also very eye opening, telling the customer they are wrong and reporting any negative feedback instead trying to right their wrongs. That alone says a lot about a company. I don't want an apology, I don't want my money back , I just want people to know about how truly bad this place is.

Simply the best bakery/cafe around! The food is exceptional and the staff are super kind and friendly. The fact that this business has survived the pandemic is a testament to the quality of service and product...and that comes from the top down!!

This place isnt like what it used to be, me and my girlfriends would come over every sunday after church to catch up and talk.. lately the food has been not so good. Two of my girlfriends got sick from the soup on the same day. I wish we had our old spot back. The staff have been rude and the food has been different. So many memories here with my friends and now they just put a bad taste in my mouth.

What most turned me off was their requirement of a substantial extra charge for splltting a meal. But if you get an extra 'side', then it's only 3.50 for the extra side. They also have a chicken soup on their menu. Could I get a small cup of chicken soup os a side? Nope. They don't allow that. That has to be a whole meal. Instead I had to settle for a tasteless and strained potato leek soup.....tasted like something you get out of those packages. The sandwich we split (a grilled cheese for grownups) had a chard kimchi on it and while I was initially skeptical, the cheese and the kimchi were actually quite good---if a bit pricey for what you got. Most of it, thought, was a very thick bread. As a dessert we had an apple cake which was excellent, and one of their raisin-seed-chocolate chip cookies which was a bit disappointing (very buttery and more chocolate chips and less seeds and raisins than I would have liked). The server we ordered from probably could have done better....we weren't offered a receipt from our online payment....and she was so rigid about subsituting that soup. The person who brought our food to our table was much friendlier and more animated..
