Earls is a popular Canadian chain serving North American cuisine. As a bar/restaurant you find the typical bar food menu. This Earls is located in the Whistler village and as expected has relatively high prices for the quality of food given the location. The service, unfortunately, was bad. As we were eating with two young children, 4 and 7, we ordered a simple butter pasta dish to be split on to two plates. 1 plate arrived after 35 minutes, but the other child's plate of pasta was missing. The server said "it'll be right out". But it wasn't for another 20 minutes that the other plate for my daughter came out with the rest of the entrees. My son had already finished his plate by the time my daughter's plate arrived. So a total of 55 minutes from ordering until we actually got our entrees. Which is excessive given it wasn't anything special but a hamburger and a steak with mashed potatoes. Also there's no reason butter pasta should take that long and especially the weird gap between the two half plates, that made a young child wait while she watched her sibling eat. Clearly the server screwed up when ordering and the kitchen was so backed up they couldn't make another half plate of butter pasta in a short amount of time. No apology or anything. Looking around the restaurant, the speed of service seemed to be hit and miss. Some received their food quickly others waited long amounts of time and some had half the table get their food while the other half waited. In our case we were forgotten. Management should simplify their menu to less entrees to simplify it on the kitchen and servers. But as this is a chain, they may not have this ability.
After reading some positive reviews we thought we'd check out the Whistler Earls. Although our waiter was friendly, he was spread thin as they were short staffed, so service was intermittent. The meals were just ok, ...nothing to write home about. Having visited a few Earl's restaurants, unfortunately we found this one was not the best.
We visited earls last week with a few friends and had a marvellous time! We started with a spectacular seafood platter which was perfect to share! Very impressive! My friend & I shared a filet minion (which was cooked perfectly) and a gorgeous creamy tortellini. Wow! Our friends had BBQ Ribs, which just fell off the bone, while the other had a huge fresh sante fe salad. The service was so wonderful. Genuine and on point right from the first greeting at the door. The service at the table was friendly, helpful and prompt. We all had a wonderful evening. I would highly recommend earls in whistler!
We always hit up this earls when we are in Whistler. I figured this weekend would be particularly busy so we ordered to go! Great service fast and friendly even being so busy. While k was waiting some customers were angry there was a 1.5+ hour wait but that should be expected! Book ahead of time! Great food! Will always come back here! Wether it be in restaurant or to go!
Visit this restaurants to a wonderful experience. I went with my friend for our Thankgiving dinner, we didn't eat turkey though. Everything was spectacular, the attention, the atmosphere and the food. I recommend this spectacular seafood dish.
Very friendly staff. Beautiful patio with happy hour. Bar has three large tvs. Lovely views! Would definitely go there to watch sports .
Best overall dining experience I've had in a while. Great friendly and organized staff. I don't drink alcohol and don't eat meat and the food was exquisite. Got the tofu shroomami bowl and waitress suggested the toffee chocolate. Just delicious. So satisfied! Oh and the vibe there is awesome along with the decor.
My wife and I went to Earls for lunch and the food was very good. Signs in the restaurant mentioned being short staffed but our waiter did a great job taking care of us. Highly recommend.
We stopped in for lunch here today. The food and drinks were delicious and our server Andy was top notch! ? We are so happy we came here! Thanks for making the first meal of our trip a memorable one!!
Went to Whistler for the day and stopped to have a late lunch/early dinner at Earls. I ordered the half ribs and chicken and substituted the potato salad for mashed potatoes. The flavors combined so well together! The Cajun chicken paired quite well with the potatoes and the ribs were fall of the bone! My husband ordered the poke bowl which was delicious. The tuna tasted fresh and it was definitely filling. The one thing we did not have was appetizers but after seeing the table next to us order the wings and artichoke spinach dip, we will definitely order that next time! Can’t wait to come back. This is a good place for lunch with friends or date night. I would definitely recommend this to anyone nearby an Earls.
My friends and I—three women in our 60s—visited Earl’s during happy hour in August 2022. I hadn’t been to an Earl’s restaurant in many years, but based on this experience I would definitely give them another try. The menu options satisfied all three of us—not an easy feat; better yet, for the first time during my stay at Whistler, I didn’t feel like I was getting gouged. Don’t get me wrong—I fully expected to be gouged on this holiday, Whistler has always been that kind of place—but it was a nice change. The food was delicious, the drinks were just as advertised, the staff was very pleasant, especially our server, Aidan, and we had a comfortable shady spot on the outside deck.
Had a lovely lunch here. Services was very god. The food tasty and the prices reasonable, for Whistler.
Four of us went here for dinner - We did have to book this a few days in advance due to staffing issues however as we had booked in advance we didn’t notice this and it didn’t make a difference to our experience. Our server was really friendly and the restaurant was really nice inside. The food was delicious with good portion sizes, we all really enjoyed our meals, we had the Caesar salad, ribs and steak and sushi, I had the steak and sushi which was cooked to perfection and just so so good! We also enjoyed our drinks we had the 2 types of sangria both of which were great. Overall we really enjoyed it here and would definitely visit again and recommend!
Absoutely incredible food. Awesome, chill and accommodating server! The experience could not have been better. My one bit of advice to anyone visiting.... TRY THE TRUFFLE FRIES!!! They are the best Fries I have ever had in my life. And the street chicken tacos... Omg... Thanks from Nova Scotia! ❤️
Always enjoy Earls in Whistler. Today was no exception. The service was excellent and burgers were perfect. The Cajun salmon was also well seasoned perfectly cooked and a generous size. The special on Caesar was also welcome!!
