My wife is celiac, but the staff didn't understand what might have gluten or wheat. When we asked the staff what she could eat, the staff kept offering to remove goat cheese from a salad, despite repeated explanations of what gluten/wheat was and how it was different from vegan. Not a good place for those with allergies.Dietary restrictions: Staff are unaware of allergies for gluten/celiac

On 3/10, I stood in line to place my order. Despite it being my turn, one of your staff members, a white male, saw me waiting and proceeded to attend to another customer—another white male—who had arrived after me. This disregard for the order of arrival is unacceptable and reflects poorly on your establishment’s treatment of customers.I hope you would address this issue with your staff and ensure that all customers are served in a fair and equitable manner and that you would prevent such incidents from happening again.

A warm and cozy spot with plenty of tasty options to choose from. Generally worth the wait if there is a line. The people working here are always so helpful, patient, and pleasant.

Got a to-go grilled cheese, and in the box on top of my grilled cheese is an oversized sliced in half pickle. Pickle juice seeped into my whole grilled cheese, every bite tasted strongly of pickle juice. Who wants that?? Couldn’t bring myself to finish it.Probably would have been very good otherwise, but for the price point these sandwiches are at you probably shouldn’t go out of your way to ruin them.

Had a take out. BBQ meats was huge in portions (easily for 3) and very well cooked i.e. fall of the bone ribs. Mac and cheese was good. They missed the extra chicken we ordered for $5 which isn't much but forgot none the less. Ordered two desserts, a kinda choux pastry with caramel and cream and Oreo cake. Both perhaps a couple of the nicest desserts I've ever had. More expensive than a regular takeout, but worth a revisit.

Good BBQ, friendly staff. Good place for a meal and a chat. The pulled pork poutine was a winner.

The BBQ was okay, kinda expensive for the amount of food you get. Plus you have to get your own water and food and everything. If you get one platter thing and a bunch of sides, that’s probably a better deal because you get a lot of food from the sides. A side of brisket was almost the same amount as the main brisket platter but the side was $5 and the platter was $29. No way does the 1 side and piece of bread was much of that $29.

We ate here twice during our visit to Whistler and hands down, the food is spot on! We had watched some videos on Whistler prior to our trip and Portobello was mentioned in all of them as a must stop. I agree. We had the poutine with mushrooms and onions and the Rosemary gravy. One thing to note, I have always had poutine on fries, but here they use deliciously baked red potatoes. At first my wife preferred fries, but I mentioned I liked the potatoes because I could determine the ratio of potato to gravy, etc. By the end, she agreed. We also had the Perfectly Perfect Porchetta sandwich. I don't know what to say about this because the name says it all. It is a perfect sandwich. The pork is seasoned perfectly and they have their own pork rinds and a sauce. The bread is fresh made and...well, like the name says, it's perfect. The people that prepare your food to the people at the register and those who help clean up are all courteous and attentive. This is a lively place during meal times so it can get busy, but it is worth the wait! My only reason for a missed star was they make the food and do not always wear gloves. To me, I prefer you wear gloves during food handling, especially when I can see you. Think of the number of times a day we touch our face without even knowing we do.

Cafeteria (wait in line to get your tray, order as you shuffle down the line, pay and try to find an open first-come-first-served table), but looks nice, and food is okay. The poutine was cold.I liked the idea of upscaled poutine, with roasted, skin-on red potatoes and choices of brisket and pulled pork. It should be delicious, right? But it was cold, and immensely detracts from the enjoyment.Consider the wait, very loud, crowded seating arrangements, and add in the barristas shouting out names every 45 seconds for people to come get their drinks...If you can catch this place without a crowd, and ask them to make the hot foods... well, hot... You might enjoy it.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant due to the unacceptable behavior of our server. Not only was the service incredibly rude, but the server exhibited blatant racism towards Indians. The discriminatory remarks made us feel unwelcome and deeply offended. It's disheartening to encounter such behavior in a supposedly professional setting. I strongly advise against patronizing this establishment, as no one should endure such disrespectful treatment.
