The best Japanese gourmet restaurant! Long wait to get in but definitely worth it. Everything was beautifully plated and delicious. The miso soup was dark stock with clams in shells. Just go!
Delightful and delicious hidden gem. Every dish we tried was simply excellent. Fresh ingredients and ample selection of sake.
Truly great izakaya dining with every detail of the experience honed to unique perfection by the owners. Highly recommended.
“Great food” Great food, nice waitstaff, very helpful answering questions abut the food and wine. Service was fast, good, didn't feel rushed. Great garden to look at while eating. Easy to talk with the person you or with
They don't take reservations, and worth the wait. Our favorite: clam ramen! The broth was top notch.

Honestly, IF I could give this place a sixth star, I would! It's just fantastic! The food is exotic, fresh and really creative. The service is terrific! And if you buddy up to your wait person, they have off-menu treats and cocktails that are worth exploring. I can't wait to go back and explore more!
I've never had anything like it. Went to Berkley yo visit friends and came here for dinner. Food, fantastic! Service, top notch! Drinks, amazing!
Really good izakaya. The braised pork belly and squid ink rice is really good. Also nice selection of japanese beer and yakitori!
This is a fun and romantic Japanese snack bar. It has very good yet expensive skewers (7-9 dollar/2 skewers). I wouldn't say the food matches the price. However, the uniqueness of this place is that it allows you to really sit down and talk to your friends for more than 3+ hours. Have some sake, enjoy life.
The food is very good but it's overpriced and difficult to figure out how much food is appropriate. Everything is basically meat on skewers and the skewers are $3-8 each. It was very difficult to come here as a group, we ended by getting a second dinner afterwards.

Best sushi I've had in San Francisco - by far. Literally wanted to eat there every night during my month-long stay in the area. Really good prices too.
Great, authentic Japanese food. Popular place for dinner. A little loud with the college crowd. Brought someone who used to work in a Japanese restaurant and they said it was very good as well. I tried it for a second time and was still satisfied, defiantly going back again.
About 10 years ago an aunt of ours recommended Musashi to us. She had been going there for years. Since then we have ordered a number of take out party platters for family Thanksgiving and New Year celebrations. We have been consistently impressed with the quality and presentation of the food. The sashimi is always fresh and perfectly cut. Many restaurants claim to serve Japanese cuisine but they aren't really doing so. Often the owners of, and the sushi men preparing food, at Sushi bar restaurants are not Japanese. This observation is not a comment on race or ethnicity it's a comment on knowing what Japanese food is and what it isn't because you are Japanese and you take pride in recreating dishes you have known all your life. Musashi is a real gem in a genre that is fast being co opted for profit and not for quality and authenticity.
Good sushi. Good prices. Good service.
Wow. Amazing all around. Food has been so good every time and what a huge selection of Japanese cuisine. Staff is friendly and they just expanded the dining room so you don't have to wait as long! Love it.

Great food with a new take on the sushi burrito at Sushinista. My main complaint is that there are TOO many options to choose from it was overwhelming my first time visiting. The prices are fair and the portions are decent. All in all tasty and a fun place to bring friends!
Really great sushi burritos. Only reason it's 4 stars is that I find the price to be a bit higher than I'm willing to pay. If the price were a dollar or two lower, I'd come here every day!
I started coming here when a friend of mine told me they've sushirrito for half price. That's true if you're a student across the street lol. I didn't fret even though I'm not a student. In the beginning they weren't all that, but menu slowly progressing along with added new items monthly. Owner is always on site watching over his employees. The place is very small, but enough to serve everything listed on menus. Food is made per order so its naturally fresh and tasty. Service is nice and friendly with efficient preparation time. Great place to grab a quick bite and be on your way.
yummy, but small portions. the student deals make me feel resentful.
Always fresh and delicious, the owners and employees are very friendly, and you're supporting a local business!

Despite its almost hidden entrance in an industrial building this is a hugely popular restaurant even early in the evening. For good reason. Good food, both raw and from the robata (grill), fast and friendly service, reasonable prices.
Came here on a Wednesday night and the place was packed. Luckily, despite the full house we only waited for about 10 minutes before we got our table. Once seated we ordered a whole bunch of stuff. Everything was pretty tasty, except for the Japanese salad which is not my favorite. Also everything was rather small in portion, if it weren't for the udon, I would have definitely needed more food. All in all, it was a good meal and the food was yummy. I just need to order more food next time to make sure I don't leave hungry. Lol...
High quality sushi and cooked dishes are very good too. Simple menu, cozy atmosphere. Can get crowded at peak hours.
Favorite local sushi spot. Cozy, comfortable, and terrific staff. Love this place
The food was great. Staff were cordial and food came quick. The place was clean and they have a really nice bathroom! Regardless of all that...KEVIN DURANT was there! He wouldnt takes any pictures but its cool. Awesome to be in the spot and run into him!!
