Final farewell at Angela s. Owners sold the business. Loved dining here with friends and family the past decade.

I've eaten here a bazillion times. Bout time I review. We come pretty often and ordered carryout. There are basically two things I come for: the pumpkin borani and the duck strudel. My husband is a fan of the lime chicken. But, oh that borani is almost, but not quite as good as the Helmand in the city. I kind of pout when the borani isn't on the menu. Cocktails are pretty good, but not quite the same as pre-pandemic, but I'm thinking it's because we're still in the post-pan doldrums and I think they'll get back into the game. My biggest issue is the decor. I would love some better seating and maybe some upholstery to soften things. It seems very echo-y in there. And keep that pumpkin on the menu, please!

Delicious, nicely plated food and superb service. Decor and lighting are horrible (corporate art over slate gray walls and very aggressive white lights over every table). Hire a good interior decorator and this place will be perfect.

Food was good. Nothing extraordinary. Be sure to pay attention to their specials. It was the best thing we had!

Heard this place had great food so arranged for a small group to meet for dinner. Their website does not provide table reservations and at first it looked like only take out and delivery were options. So I called and made a reservation. Our drinks and starters came and everyone looked busy, staff-kitchen, etc. Our entrees took forever. We had to say something. Our orders must have been missed because people seated after us were getting theirs. Perhaps the trend is leaning towards take out and delivery these days and the dine-in experience is not the priority these days. I think I'll stick to that in the future. The food is incredibly good, however.

Delicious omnivore and veggie delights with delightful staff. Full bar for those who do. Cheerful to those who don't.

Baby, time is a concept and age is a number. Life is short and so are some people. This place does not fall short. I'm honestly flabbergasted that I never thought about coming here considering how long this place has been around. I came here with my partner and her mother. It was actually her mom recommendation and it was a hit. The staff was super nice, you can tell that the people who come here are mostly regulars. So we at least knew they would have consistency in their dishes. What we ordered: Maza platter Duck strudel Potato and leek Bolañi French onion soup Aushak ravioli Lamb kabob Farro risotto Chocolate moose Don't get it twisted, all these dies he were killers. I would definitely return again and again :)

I was very much looking forward to trying this restaurant and invited my friend for dinner on a Saturday evening. When I walked inside, I was greeted, I said hello and asked if We could be seated outside. The staff member said no seats were available and looked down at her notepad. I asked if I could sit inside, for two people. She said she didn't have seating for two people inside but the bar was open. She looked back down at her notepad. I then asked, "do I just go sit or wait here or?" She nodded. I go to the bar to have my seat and wait another 5 lengthy minutes before being acknowledged at the bar. I order a water and a cab sav and my friend arrives. We had to ask for the bread and another staff member served the other couples at the bar and then served us the bread. The food came promptly and we had nice views of the chefs plating the food. That was definitely a highlight. The lime chicken was delicious but I would not say it was lightly breaded- they went heavy on the breading. My friend enjoyed his pasta but we were not blown away by the evening or the food. It was good, not great IMO. Next time I would try a few different apps and see if that would send it

Give this place 5 stars especially because of the food. Always taste delicious and it's always fresh and it loos very presentable. The service is so so. Sometimes depends on the waiters that they have.

we went here for our birthday dinner. pro: descent food and atmosphere con: service needs to be improved with better trained staff. owner needs to learn how to communicate with customers better.

I got the lime chicken and it was amazing!!!! I'm not even a chicken person and it was perfection!! Tender, well marinated, perfectly breaded, and the sides and sauce were perfect too!!!

CULINARY EXCELLENCE!! Pretty much anybody that lives in Or has lived in Alameda the past 20 years already knows about the new incarnation of Angela's kitchen on Park street in Alameda. 20 years ago it was just "Angela's" on Marina Village Parkway. Way back then Alameda and Oakland had many restaurants serving wonderful tasting dishes. But sadly COVID-19 has taken its toll on the restaurant industry. The chef at this small restaurant is the same chef Saboor Zafari that started it way back then and has only got better like wine in the intervening years. Just had a mind on tough blowing experience with the Mantos beef tenderloin dumpling followed by bread pudding and European style espresso with lemon peel. Wow!! My stomach went to heaven!

My husband's best friend reserved a table for my birthday's dinner today. He just saw that reservation's book showed that his request is to celebrating in Karen's birthday, and he expected that a waitress would prepare for offering me a free dessert. However, the waitress did not seem to prepare and offer any free dessert to surprise and treat me for celebrating my birthday. She asked me what kind of dessert I wanted, and it was charged. My husband and his best friend were very disappointed and upset about that today. I noticed that there are lacks of quality services due to have shorted waitresses.

Service was very slow. Food was good but we were very surprised at the haphazard service. They brought the entrees and we had to wait 10 mins for a glass of wine after reminding them. Also they forgot that we ordered dessert and came to the table asking if we were ready to leave. The cocktail was great but was served in a very small glass. We saw people ordering the same cocktail that was served in a much larger glass. I feel that there was alot of inexperienced help here tonight.
