I enjoy Boathouse and the small town vibes it gives. There is a chill atmosphere, they have good drinks and attentive bartenders (Janet + Christian). The only downside is that I don't enjoy when there is that guitar guy there randomly strumming songs in the background. They turn all of the music off and it makes it low key uncomfortable and really puts the vibe in an odd place. The guitar guy doesn't sing, he doesn't play entire songs and he doesn't even play songs that are fun/exciting/good bar vibes. This is an entirely too huge downfall because atmosphere and music in a bar play an insurmountable part in the success and continuity of business. I actually left when the man started playing his guitar again because it was honestly really odd and just put the whole mood. I will definitely return and I sincerely hope that I don't accidentally come on another night where this random man is playing his guitar at random parts of the night. I would literally walk out again if that happened haha. No hate to guitar man it's just weird that they shut off the entire bar music to let this dude strum his guitar in background. Also the kitchen was closed but they served select folks in the bar, which I was not one of and I was hungry. Hopefully they standardize the rules and entertainment. Cheers!!

Nice neighborhood gem for drinks and friendly service.Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon for a bite and a brew. We were greeted by the nicest bartender. I didn't catch her name, but extremely personable and helpful.Was glad to see that they had a Fieldworks Hazy on tap. Will be back for sure.We also ordered birria tacos that were decent. The chunks of pork were a little too big and dry for my liking, but I was eyeing other items on their menu for next time.

Cozy and comfortable, no frills, and direct but friendly staff / owner. Not a dive bar. Not some fru fru gastopub. Just a nice bar.
This is a kind of old neighborhood bar that is becoming harder to find as everything get pushed upscale.It could be considered a “dive” bar, but I think that’s not entirely accurate. It’s just not fancy, in the best possible way.The offer great food, full bar, pool table, and both indoor and outdoor seating.Great place that i will return whenever I am in the area.

The absolute alcoholic white trash dump of alameda. If you go here you probably grew up on this incestuous island and the older you get the less morals you have. Everything’s over priced and under delivered and all they have to offer is a bunch of fake gangsters walking around acting tough plus one pool table. Don’t bother. It’s an over priced dive full of gutter rats and their children.
