This is the 5th time I've been to this restaurant, and I've witnessed a steady decline in both service and quality of food offered. When we started going here last year the food was GREAT and the service matched it. Really good portions for the price (more protein than rice, decent size plates and sides)... You also got an *experience* like, actual times out service rather than feeling like you're an inconvenience for eating inside the restaurant rather than ordering to go (they have a nice space that you'd want to eat in so it's not like it screams "take out place").Tonight I ordered lamb biryani which previously was a decent amount of lamb and rice (like 60/40 lamb to rice ratio) and I could eat half and have enough to eat lunch the next day... Tonight it was 5 small cubes of lamb and enough rice for me to go to Safeway and pick up chicken to cook to use the rice for sides at lunch for 5 days... An Absolutely hilarious amount of rice... Which isn't exactly what I wanted in a restaurant experience. My husband got Palak Paneer which tasted worse than the microwave packets you can get at the supermarket. We waited 10 mins for anyone to bring us a menu after we were pointed to a table, everything we ordered came out within 3 mins of each other (drinks to entrees)... They were not busy in the restaurant itself but apparently they do my mostly take out now. They should just switch to a take out model and not bother with the rent since the decline in quality I've seen will likely lead to them closing anyway.

60 bucks for a little tiny morsel to go. No rice at all for an order for 3 people? This place is wack.

Very attentive service. Clean space. Fairly easy street parking. Tasty and ample portions.

Authentic real Indian food, spiced delicately and cooked nicely. This is so good and healthy that the other reviews who don’t like it just don’t know real Indian foods.

Had the Butter Chicken ( Makhani ) the recipe was perfect. Not too salty, not under seasoned, just perfect. I also had the garlic Nan and Saffron Basmati Rice. The rice was cooked perfectly too, I love when it separates and not mushy, just perfect. ??

While the lunch buffet had a great deal to offer, I ordered off the menu because I wanted to have leftovers. The fish curry was excellent, as was the onion kulcher bread. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Buffet ends as at 2 PM but tea runs out at 1:15. What is this all about? Staff non responsive to request for additional tea. Nann sits out in buffet rather than being provided once you sit down so it’s fresh. Food is so so.We will not return.

I ordered on grubhub, chicken tikka was good but dal had peas which I don't think anyone reasonable puts it but i wouldn't cut a star for it and too watery which is the reason it's not worth it

Only the ambience is good but otherwise avoid the food here. Specially like other have complained about Mango Lassi, its the worst!! Food taste sub par and service is bad. Overall avoid this

This is not necessarily a read but....I've never tasted Indian food quite like this. I've always associated this cuisine with bold rich flavors with a pronounced and energetic spice profile. Always a robust and aromatic taste experience. It had NONE of that.Yes, the curries were creamy and filling but borderline bland. The Garlic Pita didn't taste like garlic at all. Mango Lassi, should be a refreshing balm for the typical Indian fare full of heat and spice but where's the Mango? The restaurant's interior design was more tasteful than the dishes but the noise level though... more than deadened my already under stimulated senses.Perhaps the "subtlety" in flavor is intentional - to cater to "western tastes".... or children. Then, they should own it and acknowledge that upfront. If that is the case, India Palace has carved out a unique niche for itself: A place that caters to those with extremely sensitive and timid palates or (like my sister), averse to exotic spicy food.
