Amaze! Had to start eating on the way home, incredible taste so far, affordable and great customer service. I heard this place was really good, and so far it's outstanding.

Pick up only at the door, so no atmosphere to report on. Food is always great!

came here and tried their sweet and sour pork rice plate, and it was probably one of the best ive ever had. they do everything wok style and its made relatively fresh. the lady who took our order was really sweet and gave us a chair to sit outside while we waited for our order. overall, really enjoyed it!

Seems they decided 'whatever frozen veg medley is cheapest' and made my food with that, as its a mix of continental veggies not typically found in chinese food.Portions of both beef dishes had barely any beef to be found. Utterly disappointing.

Ordered Mongolian beef. Got 75 percent onions and tried to pay for just beef. 10 Percent beef and just stuffing. You've been warned. For the price it's not good to buy. Verifying comments and it's true on what they do. All onion and barely any meet. 1 star now because that unacceptable

Although the veggies were fresh, the chicken was not. I will not be ordering again from this place. I was very disappointed and my order wasn't anything special or complicated.

We like them. The food has never been too oily or salty. Delivery time is always reasonable. They aren't our favorite, but they hit the spot when you are in the mood for delivery.

Came across New Bamboo Kitchen on Door dash while looking for a different Chinese-American restaurant to try. Not having the best luck lately in trying out new spots since the pandemic but I think I found a new quick take-out spot that I can continually order my favorites again and again. If you enjoy Panda Express this place is like a step up from that. I've ordered from here twice and enjoyed most of their dishes that we got. Our must-gets are: Peking sparerib: Flavorful, sticky, and perfectly cooked Chowmein and Chowfun: had that charred flavored in the noodles that I love from the high temp wok. Kungpao chicken: with large cuts of chicken and mountains of peanuts, it's the perfect flavor and texture dish that will order over and over again. Items that just need a little more flavor but still enjoyed it: Black bean Prawns: would like more Black bean saltiness Fried rice: could use some more salt or msg to lift up the dish but pretty good fried rice in general and plenty of meat. Items we won't be ordering again: Sauted greens with garlic: over cooked greens, bland and watery. Dried fried ribs: these things were puney and didn't have much flavor. Pot stickers: nothing too special about them. New Bamboo Kitchen definitely have their strengths and opportunities but definitely order from here again. 3.5/5

First time ordering and got the House Chow Mein with chicken beef and shrimp. I dont know how chow mein could be bad, but this was the worst Ive ever had. No flavor, slimy fat noodles and hardly and vegetables. At least add more cabbage and sprouts or even other veggies would be nice.

I dont know why there isnt more love coming to this place?? I thought the value and flavor were excellent. I purchased 2 x $15 dishes and had plenty of leftovers... it was one of those days I couldn't make up my mind so I got both. I ordered the Honey Walnut Prawns, which were fried crispy, nothing was soggy. The sauce certainly tasted way better than it looked. I loved that the dish was over a bed of chopped iceberg lettuce. There was something about the dish that really reminded me of the McDonalds Filet-o-fish sandwich... Not sure what, since it wasn't fish at all, but I really liked this dish and would totally order it again! I also ordered the Salt &Pepper Fish Fillet. These are like the Fish version of a Chicken nugget. Happy little bite size pieces of a white fish, battered, fried, and dressed with fried garlic and jalapenos. The fish was fish, it wasn't bad at all. It was fried well, not soggy even after being kept in a fridge over night. There were a few bones in the fish, but nothing to make me upset! I enjoyed my meal from New Bamboo Kitchen - cruising peoples food pics was helpful before I ordered... might be worth the effort if you are on the fence. I would give it a shot - the value is there and you might just find a dish that surprises you :)

I ordered Walnut Prawns. Pretty standard dish, I've ordered many times from different places. So I explained to get what I always get, walnuts & shrimp in the delicious honey sauce. Instead, I got walnuts, she said was "coated" with honey flavor and the shrimp was covered with mayonnaise?! OMG it tastes awful! Make sure you check your order before you pay .... to make sure you're getting what you're expecting.

This place is not very good. I did a pre-order for 430pm pickup, and I get a msg at 355pm that my food is ready. So my food sat there for 30 mins. The chicken fried rice is bland, and soy sauce didn't help. The Chicken and Black Bean sauce was ok. The Prawns and greens were not good. Prawns were mushy. Greens were stringy. I almost choked eating the greens.

New Bamboo Kitchen is a Chinese Restaurant located near Lincoln Ave x Willow. The Caviar app was offering $5.00 off on pickup orders, so I decided to use the promo on the New Bamboo Kitchen. I have lived in Alameda for decades, and have never tried this place. Why? Limited parking, mixed reviews and opinions, and it's not near anywhere I shop. But I decided to order some favorites and see how they come out. On a Saturday, I ordered: Chicken Fried Rice, Prawns w/ Chinese Greens, and Chicken with Black Bean Sauce. I scheduled a takeout pickup for 430pm. Well, it's a good thing I didn't order anything crispy or deep fried. That's because they ignored the 430pm pickup time, and sent me a text message at 355pm saying my food is ready. So I get to the restaurant at 425pm. The inside is dark and the door is locked. Looks like they're closed! I knock, and a lady comes out and gives me my order. It's July 2021, and this place is takeout and delivery only. The dining room is not available. So how was the food? It's not the worst I've ever eaten, but not the best. - Chicken Fried Rice, Grade (1/5): No flavor and dry. Probably used leftover rice. Adding soy sauce didn't help. Chicken pieces were moist. - Chicken w/ Black Bean Sauce, Grade (4/5): Best dish, very good taste. Lots of tender chicken and mix of carrots, onions, and bell peppers. - Prawns w/ Chinese Greens, Grade (0/5): Prawns were mushy because they used frozen shrimp. The Bok Choy was stringy and chewy. I almost choked eating it. They should of been chopped up into smaller pieces. Dish had no flavor. Will I return? No....there's too many better restaurants in Alameda. Welcome to Alameda, The Island City

The rice was over cooked and stuck together as of the scrapped the bottom of the pot, the garlic chicken had more veggies than chicken and the dry fried ribs were all fat. I never write Yelp reviews because usually I'm just like, yea ok whatever, but honestly guys this food was the worst. I spent 35.00 for nothing. Had my husband not thrown it all away, I would have taken photos!!! Oh and I asked for spicy mustard and soy sauce packets and they sent two soy sauce packets and no mustard! Very disappointing!
