We've been ordering take out from here recently and it's good. Fast, cheap, filling and not overly salty like other places. They seem to have a good system to protect customers and themselves during the pandemic.
VEGETARIAN FEAST! fresh healthy i don't get the bad reviews.... first of all between the time i ordered on doordash i had hot steaming god in 20 minutes! i like they only had one size so for $7 each quart i got a massive amount of food. first off the garlic noodle were definitely homemade thick chewy with just enough chopped garlic and butter oil. next the vegetable chow mein same thick chewy noodles woked browned perfectly with big chunks of broccoli bok choy carrots not greasy but tasty just on the perfect cooking method! last the tofu and assorted vegetables, all steamed with just enough broth to give it a great taste; huge blocks of real firm white steamed tofu and massive wavy cut chunks of fresh and just crunchy enough zucchini, carrots, broccoli and big cut stalks of bok choy! i pass this place on my walks to the alameda marinas and at lunch big parade in and out of local working men, carpenters, construction plumbers bus drivers so you know it's good and they feed you well with big portions and reasonable prices so enough with the picky reviews about the service or it doesn't taste like your mother's home cooking! i'm from nj/ny so there i love the greasy gooey non authentic so out west here i really enjoy the difference and authentic tastes like back east we don't get garlic noodles and here in ca no sesame noodles viva le difference
Unsanitary restaurant! Bugs in food! Don't eat here unless you want to get sick. I ordered shrimp with steamed rice and vegetables. While I was eating I noticed a bug (that resembled a baby roach) in the rice so I continued to look through the food and found others in the lining of the shrimps. At that point I closed the box out of disgust. I also currently feel nauseated now. I went back to inform them and to get a refund. Instead they gave me a hard time even after showing them the pictures I took. They asked to examine it so I gave them the food back which they took in the back and later claimed they didn't see any bugs in it! I told them to bring it to me so I could show them since I left them all in there. There was so many in there that even when they brought it up to to the glass to show me I saw another one on a shrimp and they tried to say it was "seasoning". Anyone can see they are bugs and if you zoom into the first picture I took on the rice you can see the legs very clearly. There were other bugs that were in there that were slightly distorted due to the temperature of the cooking process but still clearly bugs! All they did was deny it, and they were very rude about doing so & attempted to downplay everything I shared with them about it. Also instead of immediately returning my money they wanted to make me another one so they could keep the profit of the sale but I don't know how they could think I would want anything else from that disgusting filthy kitchen! That's exactly how viruses are created. This business needs to be reported to the health administration.
I have been going to Bamboo Kitchen for years and i have never gotten tired of their food. Always got great service and yes the food *may be* A LITTLE BIT pricey for takeout BUT the food quality is always up to par. It used to be a sit in restaurant which was nice but I think just being takeout is perfect for them. Highly recommend and have put my friends on, they all agree and continue to order from here. Very good!
Pretty pricey for regular Chinese takeout. There was nothing special about the food but the service was terrible. I just moved out here to the Bay Area and asked 2-3 questions and I feel like the young teenager/man was very condescending in his tone. I have never experienced that from a Chinese takeout place. Also I don’t know if it’s a thing here, but when I asked for two hot sauces packets he tried to charge me $0.50 cents! We don’t pay for these packets on the East Coast! I think that is an outrageous price tag for those packets.

We like a lot hanging out. Yesterday we found this delicious restaurant which friends told us about. We enjoyed a lovely time there with superb dishes and a professional stuff and a great cuisine. We put this restaurant in our phone list and we shall definitely go again very soon. Highly recommended.
I just ordered my dinner from here and was impressed with their service and food quality. First off, the way they package their food shows a lot of care. They tied everything securely in a bag, but went to the extra length of taping closed the to go containers. I order food quite a lot, and sometimes fear my driver ate a bit of my food (re: missing french fries!). No fear here. Also, the pricing on Door Dash was very close to their regular pricing - which goes to show their value! I got four items: string beans, potstickers, chow fun, and chicken/corn soup. I was really happy with the portion sizes and value. Spent ~$34 before the tip, but that total included the service fee/taxes. I have Dash Pass so your pricing may be different. Onto the service, apparently (since it's Super Bowl Sunday) it's a busy day for food delivery! Four drivers canceled on my order - so says the female who called me. She said it happened a lot yesterday too, that one order took two hours to be picked up. I appreciate that she went through the lengths of calling me in advance - but honestly never had this happen before - or so I've noticed haha I'd totally support this business again
Quality of food has diminished and I've been eating here since I was a small child ! Yes...I'm done
Garbage. Awful. 2nd time ordering from here in 3 years and it got worse. My kids who aren't picky talked about the watery sauce and the awful flavor. 1 star because they delivered.
Do not waste your money. We have be ordering take out from here for years but the last time so greasy, bland and just plain terrible.
Szechuan beef pieces were fried to the point of unchewability. Sesame chicken had a cloying, fatty flavor (could have used a bit more acid). Veggie chow mein was reasonable but needed salt. Pot stickers average. Veggie deluxe was actually pretty good. But posting this to remind myself to get Chinese from another place next time. :/
I tried their fried wontons a while back and remember that they tasted like they were cooked in the microwave. The outer crust was chewy instead of crunchy. My family members are not picky eaters, but no one wanted to finish them. So, recently I decided to give them one last shot and ordered chicken egg foo young and started experiencing flu like symptoms a few hours after eating it. Nausea and vomiting all night and couldnt get any rest and had to call in sick from work the next morning. I missed an entire day of work all because of $12 crap. Yes, they charge $12 just for this dish alone! I wanted to like this place to serve as my go to spot for those days when I dont feel like cooking, but i'm better off spending less money at the market and just preparing something myself. I dont consider myself even a decent cook. Eat at your own risk, you're responsible for getting to work every day. But if you want to sideline yourself, then be their guest.
On time delivery and top quality food in general. This place is top 3 on Alameda and I am a delivery regular. I always order the fried rice and walnut prawns. Same quality every time. Super affordable without any sacrifice of quality.
