Great longtime, family-owned dog spot on Park Street. They’ve used the same Miller sausages that many Bay Area places have including the Coliseum. I usually opt for the Coney style chili dogs and they never let me down. Location is great with a corner spot on Park and that makes parking spotty at peak times but it’s worth it. Decent hot dog. Reasonable price. Hits the spot but nothing spectacular to write home about.

Bad hot dog experience. My daughter and I decided to try them. The hot dogs were barely warm, the bun was hard and it was too expensive. Will not be going back.

Im not sure where you guys get the idea of charging $8 for a hot dog! Go to costco Its a better deal for $1.50Let these guys go out of business

I grew up in Alameda and have not been here until recently. Great food, good service. Outdoor seating a plus.

The "Pampered Pup" is a classic hotdog restaurant that has been serving Alameda since 1967. Located on the corner of Park St & Central Ave, this small hotdog joint serves up tasty dogs with speedy friendly service. I was there on a very warm Sunday afternoon around 3pm. I went in and looked over the menu. I tend to order traditional classic dogs, but I like to try something new. So you order the type of hotdog you want, and then the kind of toppings. Or you ask for a Signature Pup, and just pick the type of hotdog. The choices are All Beef, Polish Sausage, Hot Link, Veggie, and Turkey. I got:- Kraut Dog, Polish Sausage (My favorite)- Chicago Dog, All Beef- PupZilla, All BeefAll the hotdogs were juicy and delicious. I was told the PupZilla is a unique recipe of this location. It's a different taste for a hotdog. It has a deep flavor, not spicy, with a sweet finish. Also available are chips, sodas, and lemonade.Limited indoor seating, and some outdoor tables on the sidewalk. This small hotdog place is ideal for a quick meal. If you want coffee, there's Starbucks and a Peet's Coffee right across the street. The Pampered Pup is near the Alameda Theatre, and public parking. It's also near the Kaiser Medical Offices. Located in Alameda's Park Street Business District.Support Local Business!

Walking downtown Alameda, I stopped into the Pampered Pup for a hot dog as I was getting hungry. Place is small inside with room for only one table seating for two. The place wasn't busy fortunately and I was the third in line. They have a good listing of hot dogs to try. I stuck with the traditional hot dog for now. If I'm in the area again and craving a hot dog, I will try the Pupzilla to see how it compares to Umai Savory Hot Dog.

A while ago I had a hankerin for a hot dog (doesn't happen very often) so I went to the Pampered Pup on Park and Central. I was feeling adventurous and ordered:Pupzillapork sung, onions, katsu sauce, kewpie mayo, furikaki (toasted seaseme seeds & nori flakes)It was interesting, I liked it, and had another one today. Check it out.

The hotdogs are still outstanding! And they have the best coleslaw ever!! On the corner near the movie theater. Perfect place to stop in for a quick bite before a movie!
