I had always been a runner and wanted to try something new. A friend took me to a Pedal Cycling Alameda class, when it was still located on park street. Since then, it has moved to The Mission HQ on clement. Most of the classes are hosted outside on The Mission HQ parking lot, which is fantastic. All the instructors are amazing, and teach a different style. I've taken a class from most off of them, and they each offer a great workout, and great music play lists. There are various times to pick from (early morning 6:00am, 4:00pm on Wed, 5:30 and 6pm Tuesday and Thursday evenings and even weekend classes Saturday and Sunday mornings). All the instructors are so welcoming and encouraging. A great place to get your cardio in!!

Cycling location held an blood drive administered by American Red Cross. The venue looks really nice inside. I like the wood paneling on the walls, along with paneling being borders of mirrors. Located in a nice & clean neighborhood

Amazing place to take spin classes. All the instructors are great, playlists are fun, and it's great to do spin classes outdoors.

Excellent customer service. I was in the market to buy cycling shoes as a new rider. I kept missing the mark on buying shoes online. After narrowing down the type of shoe I wanted, I set out to find the nearest retailer for this specific shoe. I came across this cycling studio that carried it and communicated with the owner on stock and availability via email. I finally made it out today and Kelly was the most pleasant person to work with. She helped me find the correct size, installed the cleats and gave me tips on correct sizing on cycling shoes vs athletic shoes and how to place/install/adjust cleats. I even scored a limit edition color way of the shoe! Thank you so much Kelly for your guidance, and assistance to this newbie rider.

Tried this cycling studio using ClassPass. It's relatively new and popped up within the last 1-2 years. Was pretty packed for a Saturday morning, though not surprising since Spin folk are serious about their rides! I enjoyed the instructor, Angela, who had a decent playlist and some average choreography. Her energy though was encouraging and above average. I just wish that they would offer shoes here because I couldn't go full out putting tennis shoes into shoe cages that aren't super tight and are generally flimsy with ankle pressure. Probably won't be going back for that reason.

I love Pedal! I've been going to this Park Street studio fairly regularly since they opened early last year. The owner Kelly is so welcoming and helpful, and I love supporting a local business where the the owner is always around and makes a point to remember people's names. I especially love classes with Tamyra, Leah, and Sam--they all have great energy and the best playlists. I also like how Pedal has some variety in its schedule--my favorites are Tamyra's arm clinic rides and the Pilates + HIIT classes to switch things up from just spin. This is a bright, clean space with useful extras like towels, phone chargers, hair ties, yoga mats, etc.

Ever since I moved to Alameda I've been dying for a good spin studio to open, so I was STOKED when Pedal opened on Park Street. The location is super convenient and the studio is both beautifully set up and incredibly well run. Having moved around a lot and experienced many spin studios, I can honestly say this one is my favorite! The instructors are excellent, the workouts are fun, and the owner is so friendly and helpful!
I have never taken a spin class in my lIfe, and to be honest I'm usually too intimidated to do any kind of group exercise, but I'm trying to get out of my comfort zone. I tried the Saturday morning 80's Throwback class and LOVED IT! Everyone was super nice and helped me set up the bike. I wasn't able to keep up with the instructor but I did my best and definitely pushed myself. There was no shame with me making a few modificAtions for myself. The other people in the group were making their own modifications (adding more or less resistance, etc). The music was great! The instructor's enthusiasm was infectious. I had a lot of fun!

My girlfriend loves this studio so she's always asking me to give it a try .The first time I walked into Pedal my body fat percentage was...let's say in the two digits and I had a beer belly because I drink IPAs by the gallon . After my first class , just one class, I left the studio with a 6.73 body fat percentage and washboard abs, this place is amazing ! Okay all jokes aside , this place really is amazing . Pedal is located on Park St. and you might think damn there's no parking on Park Street , but guess what ? It's located at the only section of this busy street that is easy to find a spot . You know the block where Vietnam House is and across the street from Habanas and the bike shop , yeah that area . The studio is cute, super clean and neat .It has little cubbies for you to put your personal belongings in and even cords to charge your phone . I like to bring my own water bottle and steal water from their high tech water machine . The first instructor I had here was Tamyra. If they remade Robocop with a female lead , Tamyra would be a perfect fit for the role . She's like super fit and almost intimidating , but once you talk to her, you quickly find out that she's really nice .My girlfriend told her I was a beginner so Tamyra helped me adjust the bike to fit my body so I can have a comfortable ride. Plot Twist ! My work out was far from "comfortable". Till this day I'm not sure if I died and am writing this review from heaven or if I actually survived the spin class. You get what you want from this class and I wanted a good work out. So I pushed my limits here .At one point , I questioned why I was at Pedal. My shirt was drenched in sweat and my legs were burning , but I didn't stop . There's something about pedaling to the beat of the music that I drew energy from . It's like my mind disconnected from my legs and was like okay pain is not real just follow this trance , but every time I was instructed to increase the resistance , I get a quick reminder that damn pain is real but it's just temporary .After the ride , again I'm not sure if I'm dead or alive at this point . We started stretching and I was really glad I took the class because I felt great . I'm not sure if it's the endorphins kicking in or that I just sweated out all the toxins from my body but I felt great . I had a certain calmness to me the rest of the day .I enjoyed that calmness a lot . Fast forward to my second class ...I thought I was tough stuff . I'm like okay I know what to expect now so this should be a cake walk and this time around I brought reinforcements .I had my girlfriend with me and two other friends. The instructor that day was Sam .She was super sweet to our group . She helped us adjust our seats and got us settled in .She told us to grab some dumbbells . I looked at the 2 pounders and 3 pounders and I'm like pwah! I be lifting ten times that much at the gym . A few minutes into the ride I'm thinking in my head I got this! You've been here before .Then outta nowhere the instructor transformed from being sweet Sam to Drill Sergeant Sam.She had us do dumbbell work outs in a spin class. I didn't know how much 3lbs dumbbells can burn .My first spin class I couldn't feel my legs , this one I couldn't feel my arms or shoulders .Moral of the story is never underestimate a class and every teacher brings their own signature twist to a spin class . I'm glad I listened to my girlfriend and gave Pedal a shot . Now I'm always excited for my next ride . I totally recommend anybody who's looking for a good work out to come check this place out .

This place rocks! Its awesome for Alameda to have a spin studio and the fact is is on Park Street is even better. Kelly, the owner, is super friendly and goes out of her way to make all feel welcome. They even have a few yoga and Pilates classes thrown in which is great for variety. The studio is also super styley with cool colors, big fans, filtered water, fresh towels and all the gear you need. You should totally come check it out.

Great studio in downtown Alameda! I come here every week and I always get a great workout. The instructors are very motivating and supportive. The classes are also quite challenging, but they do help people who are beginners. They even take the time to help you adjust your bike. There are also very thoughtful amenities such as hair ties and phone chargers.
