This place is weird on weekends it turns into a dance club with all kinds of people young and old. Its very restrictive and it appears they may have had violence or fight problems cause they frisk and wand everybody. During the week its a regular bar with a totally different drinking crowd and more of a sports bar. Not sure what to make of it but not sure I'll be back on weekends.

This spot is my favored. I eat in many restaurants but here I constantly return again and again. The crew is very helpful and the food they serve is so good. I am always happy to have a good meal in this restaurant. I recommend this place with pleasure.

This is my spot. My go to when I wanna go out drink, dance with my girls and turn up. I love the bartender Jimmy hes mt favorite older guy usually in the outdoor bar on the back. Lisa is the owner always there making sure everyone is having a great time. The music is always poppin and my favorite DJ is DJ Zaldy. Its lit here highly recommend. I'll see y'all there.

My friends wanted to hang out in Alameda this day. Originally we were already dining and hearing good live music across the street at the Cuban restaurant. However, they all decided to go across the street. We went. The only thing is the men are not allowed to wear white T-shirts. Be aware of that. NO WHITE T's. Let me just start by saying it was such a bad idea coming here. The music was repetitive. You had a guy with his conga, near the DJ. Every damn song was on repeat. What sup with that? Mood Killer! Do you need to play Britney Spears Give Me More, a lot more than you should? Bad Bunny on repeat... I don't know if this is the usual DJ on other days. But this DJ ran out of things to play... Back that A** up...C'mon. No joke. Every song. We left less than two hours. I went back across the street. I def will not be or considering to come back to this place. Not after that night...

I wanna start off by saying I the think Church ward is a pretty cool place minus the racial profiling. One of the owners I think her name is Lisa, she is always in my face about something. I can just be standing around with alot of other people talking and she would come in my face speaking rubbish. The people that I'm talking with would say wtf is her problem you haven't done anything wrong. Another example is when she saw me mingling with a female she had nerves to tell me I wasn't allowed to talk to her. That female could have just said she's not interested in talking simple as that. Last Saturday was the first time I been in that club in at least a month. I never had a fight, argument or any kind of confrontation in that establishment. I walks in the club she grabs me and says get out and never come back. She claims I have been aggressive with the bartenders in the last last two weeks but I have not been in that place for aleast one month..I have no clue what she is talking about and by the way, I'm cool with Jimmy and some of the other workers but I only buy from Jimmy in the back most of the time. She banned me forever for no reason at all... It's cool tho I don't never wanna go back to a place that's ran by biggots and passive aggressive racist people...Good Bye Church ward

Honestly one of the few bars i really like going to in alameda. I'm from San Jose and the bars here are great but it's always fun to try new spots and from San Jose to alameda Churchward pub is the only spot i go to every other Friday. The dj plays really good music Spanish and English and sometimes there's a man playing the conga going with the rhythm of the songs the dj plays. Bartenders are fun everyone is pretty fun.
