Fireside Lounge in Alameda is pretty cool. DJ heats up Fridays, and while they might not have every drink under the sun, the vibe's solid. Dance floor’s always lit, plus open mic and art stuff keep it interesting. Not just a bar but a real gem in Alameda. Solid 4 stars from me!

I come here for Prince parties from time to time. Even did a set here for Halloween 2022. One of my favorite spots in the last 10 years! Will be back soon ??

Solid "local." Often good bands, more often just ok bands. Always a good beer list. Bar service sucks, though. You could sit at the bar but they'll ignore you and serve the people who line up at the server station in the middle.

Nice place, terrible opening band. Service was prompt and friendly, food was decent (margherita pizza had a lovely crispy crust but was a bit too salty). Halloween decorations were creative and fun, almost everyone was in costume, which was super fun. However, a very disappointing opening band - Ledbetter and His Best Bets. They bragged about not having rehearsed, which felt like a slap in the face after we paid a cover for the live music. And their lack of effort really showed in their performance. The band used the same arrangement and rhythm for every song - i.e., all six musicians played together at medium-high volume throughout every song, creating a monotonous similarity. Only one person sang, which added to the monotony, and he forgot the words several times, even on songs he himself wrote. Their cover of Joe Cocker's "Feelin' All Right" was competent, but all the other covers sounded the same, and the original songs were uninspiring. We had to leave before the second band played so no comment on them.

Excellent beer selection and friendly service. I was there for trivia night recently which was a lot of fun. The food was just OK but you can bring in food from another restaurant.

New and improved: flatbreads are excellent and drinks/bartending skills have gone way up. Becoming the bar that the West Side needs and wants. Nice!
