The 5-star reviews are spot on. The food here is amazing. We had the combination pho, 5-spice chicken, and the Vietnamese omelette. Everything was authentic. The owner and server was attentive and funny. Highly recommend!

I just learned that this spot is about as old as I am (mid-30s), and it has been run by a husband/wife team (I believe) all that time. A very nice couple. The wife cooks, and the pho is exactly what I like (and mostly only order). Tastes authentic to me, good size and price point. The husband takes the orders and he's a funny, quirky, quaint guy -- not your typical server, but very nice and personable. This place is casual and undemanding, but my go-to spot on a rainy day when I want hot noodle soup!

The tender chicken was the best chicken I had in years. So soft and flavourful.. And the owner also happened to be in the restaurant and he came over and talked to us and he was just so passionate about the food and gave us some background on how some of the items in the menu were introduced. The food was really tasty. I became a fan of Vietnam

Best pho in the area. I love pho and I tried most of the places around. This is the best by far.

Very disappointed.Ordered fried rice and it arrived on the plate with no garnish or design, just so unappetizing piled high with some meat and fish inside it.The smell was terrible. I also ordered Bon Mi sandwich and it was very good.i ordered hot tea,she brought ice tea. Did not eat the rice .I left with my guest and went Home .I will not go again.

Wonderful little gem of a restaurant. Best pho on this side of the bay and I've tasted many! The broth had a delicious flavor- slightly sweet - with just the rIght amount of seasoning. Start with the fresh Spring Rolls - they're just that - fresh! Enjoy!!

I’ve been there about 5 times now, tried the pho and vermicelli, and they’re both better than most of the Vietnamese places in the area. It’s a clean restaurant with good service.

Food is incredible and the owner has the best and most honest personality. Seriously good. Ate in and also ordered a bahn mi to go. Best garlic noodles I've ever had in my life and the veggie pho broth was delicious.
We don't prefer Vietnamese food in the East Bay. The South Bay has more choices and better choices. However this place should not be underestimated. I will eat the rare beef/tai pho here. We also get rice plates, which offer a large portion of meat, the chicken comes with a hindquarter. And we've also gotten the crispy noodles, bird's nest, with meat and seafood. Family run which is great. Good service. We'll be frequenting this place!

Best Vietnamese Food in the east Albany/Berkeley Area. My first few visits here I frequently ordered the pho ga and imperial rolls . 5 stars . I've since became a vegetarian and have migrated to the vegetarian menu which is just as amazing ! Vegetarian Pho and tofu birds nest are 2 of my faves , the vegetarian pad thai is also heaven sent . Five stars also goes to the service and hospitality of the front and back staff . The Server is so Comprehensive and attentive to my needs . I highly recommend this restaurant!

Decided to try out this place after reading the reviews and the reviews definitely did not disappoint! I ordered the bun bo hue and it was packed with so much flavor, a generous amount of meat, and service was amazing. I will definitely be returning because it is hard trying to look for a place around the area that serves authentic bun bo hue.
