I heard about this place and I could not wait to try it. I can't even begin to explain the flavor and how tasty it was. The waiter took his time and it was a calm atmosphere. I came all the way from Brentwood to try it.

The food was amazing and will be coming again and will recommend friends to come here. I would recommend the lamb. The house lemonade was great the ginger had a little kick but was really good. Median spice was perfect for me and mild for my girlfriend. I loved the decoration and the dishes color. Please support this local business and give them a shot and I definitely think they will blow your socks off

One and a half years later, I'm able to eat indoors at my favorite Indian restaurant, Delhi Diner! Everything about this restaurant deserves five stars. I came tonight with my Dad for dinner where we shared our favorite items. We had the Vegetable Samosas, Chicken Tikka Masala, Basmati Rice, and Garlic Naan. The Vegetable Samosas were loaded with savory soft potatoes and peas. I like how they were cut into fourths which made it easier to eat. The Chicken Tikka Masala was tender, the curry was smooth and flavorful, and the medium spice was perfect--not tongue burning but not too mild. The Garlic Naan came with four pieces and was loaded with garlic and cilantro. Pro tip, put your curry on your naan, it's a flavor bomb! This was more than enough for the two of us and we left with takeout containers. The service here at Delhi Diner is one of the best! The owner is extremely hospitable and friendly. The workers are attentive and constantly checked in and took care of us. It's important to support this local restaurant. After living in Hawaii for years where Indian food is pretty mediocre, I'm so happy to be back. I love the food so much that I couldn't stop eating it, even from the takeout container! I can't wait to come back next time I'm back home.

Been my family & myself favorite place to eat since reading the Reviews. We all ordered the same dish the Lamb Tikka Masala. It's the creamy rich cashew/tomatoe paste sauce with the Lamb cubes, plus the rice and bread to all together is truly Fire.

I don't usually write Yelp reviews but we love this place so much I have worried how Covid might have hurt their livelihood and ability to stay open! id easily say this is our favorite Indian restaurant (and my 5y year old's favorite restaurant period) their menu is dynamic, creative and diverse, you can customize the spiciness levels, staff are warm and friendly, ingredients and quality are great! I love everything they do with paneer, dosas, chaat... we regular get a curry, a few apps, a paneer dish (saag and this other one w veggies that's sooo good!) aloo gobi. Every dish feels very thoughtful and made with love. Truly delicious and warm.

Just finished a lunch here. Chicken Tikka Masala was excellent as was the butter naan. Some of the best we've ever had. We had the masala dosa which was a huge portion and very tasty. Lamb and veggie samosas too. Lovely staff who aim to please. If we're back in the area, we'd definitely seek it out again.

Had a great time with excellent food and wonderful service. I also appreciate how high their standards are, both in terms of general food hygiene and COVID safety measures. Shukriya ji, bohot maza aaya

If you're looking for the best Indian in the East Bay, do yourself a favor and come here. The food is amazing, the service is great, and the folks who work there get it right. Last visit we took the whole family, some having Indian for the first time. Majority of the table ordered Chicken Tika Masala, but a brave few chose the Braised Lamb Shank. Plenty of Naan and rice to go around!! Thank you, Delhi Diner, for always taking care of us when we come in, we love it here!!

What an amazing restaurant, every dish we ordered was perfect, the flavors exploded inside our mouth. The sev puri and crab samosas are delicious. The garlic naan was crispy and fragrant. We also ordered butter chicken - a signature dish that I forgot the name and my hubby ordered lamb. The waiters were very kind and attentive, and the owner himself also came out to teach us how to eat the dishes. Highly recommended.

I'm done with this shit. Me and my husband went their last week. We went inside the restaurant and asked for eat some Indian food Dine in. The skinny guy was sitting at the front was using his phone and said we are close for dinning and it will be open at 4pm. It was 3:15pm at that time. We just told them that we will wait and will eat there. The skinny guy gave very rude customer service. He was looking like he just woke up. Very bad customer service I have ever had. We ordered one cauliflower Manchurian, a vegetable pakora, and a onion kulcha. However we are from India, they treat us like we don't know how the Manchurian looks like or a kulcha. The food was like, you guys serve the same food before ,and someone didn't eat and you just gave us. The one crazy thing I didn't like they charge $6.47 for dine in.What the hell? I will never go their again. Wayyyyyy tooooo expensive.

One of the better Indian spots in Berkeley, reasonably priced, conveniently located on Telegraph, quick service. I came here for an early dinner yesterday (~4:30p Tuesday) and had the luxury of ordering as the only one in the restaurant. Got the chicken tikka masala (pictured), which came out to about $10. Food was warm, naan soft, and chicken servings a little-less-than-generous. Other reviewers seem to be content with the flavor and spice, but I thought it was a touch on the bland side. Could just be the curry I got - guess I'll have to come back and try something else next time!

My absolute favorite Indian food around. So much more flavorful than other places. Its a little bit more pricey than some but it is 100% worth it. SO SO GOOD!
