One of my kid’s favorite local restaurants. Great for kids. Delicious food. You can’t go wrong.Kid-friendliness: Restaurant adjusts spice levels accordingly for kids, especially well for Indian cuisine.

Fantastic Indian food. Hard to find a place that makes both North and South Indian food well, and Delhi Diner delivers on that front! The food is delicious, quantities are generous, and everyone is so kind and friendly. I've been eating here for years, and they've kept up their quality. My favorite Indian place in the Berkeley/Albany area.

Tasty food, including a spinach rolls appetizer and lamb samosas. The lamb shank entree is tender, and the chicken korma is a reliable standby. You can order 4 levels of spice, a nice option. The restaurant is big, with tables not too close together. There was a lot of takeout happening (and we've done that at times as well), with not many people eating in, for the times we've been there. Service was quick and professional. They close between lunch and dinner and then for the evening at 9:30 p.m. at the one on Solano so plan around that.

The prices of what i payed did not match what was advertised in the menu, the samosas were beyond over priced and what they gave me was the tiny little ones you can get from costco and it was super burnt from the inside and outside, so either the chef doesnt know how long to cook for or they keep the samosa frozen over time and just toss in oil when ordered, the outside was too burnt as was the inside for something “fresh” if it wasnt for the chutney it wouldnt even be edible and even then it was like eating charcoal with some tamarind paste

Service, ambiance, copper table ware all great. Food mostly not. Love Puri, the traditional wheat flaky balloon shaped bread. Theirs was made with white flour with the consistency of a thicker dence naan that was just puffed up a little bit, didn't taste remotely like puri...and not even on the menu which should have been my first clue. Achar which they didn't list as achar but told me it was was that, a pickled relish... was just a bunch of sliced pickled onions in some sort of red sauce that was kind of sweet and savory. Achar is a very specific intensely savory, olivey salty kind of flavor of pickled fruits and vegetables, chopped mango, and others. The vegetable dosa looked great but was very salty, as was the soup that goes with it... both seemed to have all the right ingredients and should have tasted great but I couldn't grab onto the flavors for all the saltiness. Why wreck such great tasty ingredients with so much salt that is also bad for us. The coconut chutney was great. The mugs for the chai were so small I had to order several cups and each one cost $3.25. Really disappointing. Maybe the extensive menu that includes a lot of vegetarian and gluten-free things both of which appeal to me, are better but I wouldn't chance it because of the salt factor, usually if they salt to access in one dish it's going to be a character in most of them.

The Naan, aloo gobi, medium Tikka masala, and mild butter chicken are the go to dishes. Not usually busy for lunch and it's very spacious. All the servers are helpful.

We have been coming here and the quality has considerably gone down over the years. They had this insect in the dhal during lunch and made it very difficult on the refund. The owner's response was very poor.

Got take out. Food was meh, edible but not great. Naan was doughy. Curries needed more flavor, biryani was dry. Worth trying, will go somewhere else next time.

We tried Delhi Finer for the first time tonight and were incredibly impressed! The food was unbelievably good. We had several different dietary restrictions in our party and they were so helpful in making adjustments to their recipes since everything is made to order. They offered suggestions that ended up being SO good! In addition we didn't want anything spicy and when we started eating we discovered that reducing the spice here did not reduce the flavor in any way! The veggie samosas, veggie pakoras, chicken biriani, and korma were our favorites! They also have so many vegetarian and vegan options! We will definitely be coming back!

Extremely bad food. As an Indian I do not approve. If only they could put a little more effort in the quality of ingredients and the cooking. Very disappointed.
