Good solid breakfast. Eggs, breakfast meat, potatoes, good coffee. What's not to like? Oh, good service too!

Nothing but good things to say about this place. Discovered it one day with my dad as we were trying to find a place to eat and tried it out. Me and my girlfriend are regulars here. Food is absolutely delicious. She loves the chicken sandwich as do I, but breakfast here is really good as well. The waiters/waitresses are really nice and friendly too. I believe it is a family run restaurant. By far my favorite restaurant around Berkeley.

The menu is quite varied. Breakfast, lunch, Mexican and regular dinner entrees available at breakfast time. Great Homemade Corned Beef Hash. Chilaquilies are very good too.

Duo Grill House might be slightly less aesthetically put together than its neighbor, but it's one of my and my husband's faves! We've tried it all and have yet to be disappointed, but we especially love the fish burrito, Duo burger, and benedicts. We're always too eager to dive into the food to remember to snap a photo. I also appreciate their outdoor seating and pleasant staff.

Better than solano junction hands down. Unassuming, basic breakfast place. Delish flavors even in the hash browns which you know are generally boring potatoes. Idk it's just tasty af. Oil seemed fresh, as were the ingredients. We had the hash brown hill and the breakfast burrito. Both large portions, eggs cooked to perfection. The coffee was amazing. Not just a stale pot but maybe even fresh pour over? Great service. All around chill. Eat here.

Wonderful breakfasts, loads of options, terrific service. Their poached eggs are perfect. Have eaten there twice, choosing different meals each time, and we both thought the breakfasts were great and the service friendly, considerate, and timely. Highly recommend.

The service and food are incredible here. Prices are very compatible and it's nice to sit out side. Completely recommend this place.

Duo Grill is a gem. My favorite is the salmon BLT with fries. Salmon is always cooked to perfection and is great when you're super hungry, generous portions. They have a great salmon entree with mashed potatoes and the salad is delicious. Breakfast is great as well, the duo combo is my go-to with a little of everything. The bread pudding is really tasty, not overly sweet and comes warm with ice cream. Can't go wrong! Highly recommend getting the lemonade (sweetened with honey).

Loved the food! Salmon Omelette. Gluten Free bread is nice to have after coming back from Europe. Great service!

The diner down the way had about an hour wait, so we decided to head back home, ie back towards Duo Grill House. I loved that they had several different sides, as my diet is pretty specific these days so I was able to order a couple sides of bacon, a side of egg whites, and a side of fruit and everything was delicious. It all came out promptly with the service being quick and friendly and another plus, they even had outside seating. All in all we will definitely return to Duo Grill House, the whole experience of a Sunday morning breakfast there was wonderful!

Cool bicultural concept-- Half their menu is Mexican, other half is classic "white American" brunch. The sheer volume on their menu is WILD. If the wait for Solano Junction is too long, Duo is an ok option right down the block. All-day brunch! (as of March 2022) For COVID safety purposes, staff wear masks and seating is socially-distanced. We dropped by late afternoon on a weekend... Completely empty. Service was slow. Even being one of two parties there, my bf and I waited probably over 45 mins for 3 items. CHICKEN AND WAFFLES: Yall... This is not their strong suit. In what world does chicken and waffles mean TENDIES............. Very average waffles and the tendies tasted like they were of the frozen variety My bf liked their Egg Florentine Benedict, pretty standard. Open Face Crab Dungeness Sandwich was very ok, the accompanying salad was mediocre. Portions are kind of small... This is somewhere I'd go if I was REALLY craving brunch food during a non-brunch hour, maybe not my first choice for brunch.

This place is never busy. I think because of the perception of the place of not being busy, people pass by this place. But it has a solid menu with a lot of selection, good portions and good service. And food tastes good. Beer wine menu with cocktails that seem to be wine based like sangria, mimosa, agave margarita, etc. My sister in law wanted to come for her birthday dinner. Kids had sliders and fries. Which the fries were amazing - perfect diner fries. Husband had steak burrito, sister in law had. Enchilada and I had a cheese quesadilla. I bet the breakfast is even better. We'll have to come back for that. Next time stop by y'all can walking by and support a small, local business.

Just started dining in restaurants again and discovered Duo has breakfast all day. Wow! I will be back, as the food was super good, beautifully fresh and tasty and the service quick and gracious. The menu has a lot of Mexican choices, also burgers and American classics. We had a breakfast burrito, the green chiliquiles and housemade lemonade. My daughter got a side of fruit with the burrito and it was obviously freshly cut, to order … that is pretty rare, honestly. Seems like it would be a great choice for dining w kids (mine are all grown up) as well as an excellent meeting spot for anyone. We sat at one of the outdoor tables at a nice distance from the sidewalk.

I really like this place for breakfast. The place on the corner has the line, but I honestly like this place wayyyy better. Breakfasts are delicious. Service is fast. Appears to be family run and I like that.
