I lost my favorite local burger joint years ago... I couldn't find anything after that was delicious. I love visiting Alhambra/ S. Pasadena area and have seen Pharos countless times. I finally tried it for the first time last month and I have already been there four times after. It's definitely delicious and a neat place to enjoy your meal solo or with people. The staff are very friendly and assist very professionally. Not too many of the original burger places out there anymore that are good but Pharaohs is DEFINITELY a place to enjoy a delicious old fashioned burger! I look forward to trying more things on the menu!Vegetarian options: Grilled cheese and salads.Parking: I haven't had difficulty finding parking so far.Kid-friendliness: Meals for kids as well.Wheelchair accessibility: Flat surface to the entrance so it's very accessible.

Some of the best burgers in alhambra IMHO. I especially like their 1/4 pounder burger with a soda and a side of fries which are rather tasty not greasy nor salty and a nice generous serving.When I place my order, the staff is very friendly and attentive from the time I place my other until I receive my meals. So, if you're looking for a nice meal at a nice price, then head over and grab yourself a burger at this establishment.
Customer service was rude! I genuinely did not hear the lady tell me there was salsa in the breakfast burritos over the phone. I’m sure she did, but Management did not have to keep repeating out loud where everyone can hear that I did not hear it.Unacceptable! On top of that I ordered a sausage burrito, but went home with a bacon one. Will not return!

The best burgers ever! The burgers are big and juicy. The bacon is lean. The service is always great and friendly. The owner likes getting to know the customers. The restaurant is clean. It's a great hangout spot to have a meal with friends and family.

I used to like this place , especially that it has been a family run restaurant for many years. But unfortunately everything had to come to an end . The owner is very stern and has an aggressive mood when it comes to attempting to problem solve an issue with the food that is served to a customer . I was eating my chicken sandwich, and half way eating it . I noticed a small bug/ fruit fly in between the lettuce and chicken . I brought it to one of the employee behind the counter attention , in which he apologized and just flicked the bug from the lettuce. Nothing was sad if they would give me my money back or if they would make me a new sandwich . A few moments later the owner of the establishment came out behind the counter . I got the owner attention to inform him what happens and that I was not offer anything with regard to getting a new sandwich. The owner went to go approach the employee whom I informed about the bug in my sandwich, a few minutes later the owner approach me and stated the following , " did you eat the whole sandwich or partial " when it came to finding the bug in your sandwich . I informed him partial due to I was half way done eating my sandwich. The owner stated " I don't have any control when a bug can fly in your sandwich ", therefore there is no reason to make you a new sandwich due to you already ate partial of the sandwich . I was in shock how the owner was so aggressive with his response and his mannerisms. It makes you like he gets a high making people feel small and belittle . He treated me like I was a child , not a grown adult . After he belittled me, I just got whatever I had left from the food I did not eat, and just threw it away and decided to write this review . It is very unfortunate how the owner of this establishment attempting to problem solve this issue with the food. I would have expected he would have been better in his customer service skills and especially how to treat customers with some empathy.
My girlfriend recommended me this place and the food was good and customer service just the first time . The second time the owner took my order and he judged me head to toe knowing he's never seen me and was extremely rude and gave me so much attitude. He treated everyone else like family so don't come here unless you've been supporting since day 1 because he will treat you differently as he did to me. Felt very uncomfortable even eating here due to him.

Pharos has the best welcoming vibe ever. You can tell by the regulars who are always there. The food is good. The people are friendly.
There's a reason it survives with In N Out across the street. Great food. Burgers were JUICY and DELICIOUS; my mom said it reminded her of how they used to make them which is a big compliment. The fries were just crispy enough on the inside to leave the insides fluffy and hot. The workers are friendly and the service is quick and easy. The vibes are casual with a great vintage aesthetic. Will be my new burger joint going forward OVER In N Out.
