The first time I tried their barbecue pork chow mein their noodles were slightly seared perfectly (which brought out a mild umami to the noodles). After that time they never made it the same way (even though I tried to explain to them how my noodles looked the first time that I ate theirs). I realized that the first time I had their chow mein, they must've let the noodles sit in the hot wok a minute longer before taking it out.

Ordered from Wong's thru DoorDash because I was craving Chinese. I see many bad reviews here, but on DoorDash, they were pretty high reviews. It is not my first time having their food, but it has been years, maybe even over a decade. Mind you, I used to work at a Chinese restaurant & am fond of Chinese food so it may be safe to say I know when it's good food vs. bad, but that's just my taste buds opinion lol. I ordered the combo plate consisting of Pork fried rice, Hunan chicken, & almond chicken. The pork fried rice was good, no complaints there! The pork itself was small pieces but also bursts of flavor, and the rice was seasoned right with the right amount of soy sauce & veggies. The Hunan chicken is different from what I'm used to, but nonetheless was still flavorful. It seemed to be covered in some batter then fried, and tossed in the sauce. I'm used to the chicken being fried after being tossed in a dry batter not a wet batter, but it was still a good experience and good spice & sweetness. The almond chicken on the other hand was okay. I feel like as if it could have had more chicken and less veggies, but honestly that's typical of most restaurants nowadays. What was different about it for me was that this restaurant uses white sauce for their almond chicken and not brown sauce; it was good, just not what I was expecting. Overall, this place is great, and even affordable! Most Chinese restaurants do not actively have combo plates available, so you usually have to get 2+ items costing you way more, but I really only paid around $16 +Doordash fee's / tip. If you're feeling Chinese & not wanting to spend $40+ on a couple a la carte dishes & not wanting to opt in for Panda Express because to most people it's "close enough", then Wong's would be a great choice!

Food had no flavor except what we added at home. For example, we ordered Kung Pow chicken and the only spice was one chili pepper. Trader Joe’s frozen Chinese selections are better and much

It's amazing to see the steady decline of this place. Food and service continues to suffer. I don't think they give a sh!t.

I had not been to Wong's kitchen in a good While, but the food was not up to par Egg foo young is to look like a omelette, I've never seen egg foo young that look Like pancakes, shrimp was I think was freeze Dry and it taste rubbery, and the egg roll were burnt, I think when ever you get a new Cook it changes everything. So I won't be Returning. It's sad but Wong's kitchen was The best. But no more

The food is really good and not salty or overly seasoned. The veggies in the chow main are while and the shrimp is always fresh. They are fast with call in orders!

This is some of the most disgusting food I have ever tried to eat. The beef smells and tastes like fish and nothing is cooked well. Absolutely disgusting it makes me feel like I have to vomit.

Best Chinese food in Antioch, been coming here for years and will continue to do so. Whenever anyone asks where to get Chinese I always recommend WONGS!!!

Over a month ago I wrote a review regarding Wongs food being bland and flavorless...well here's the update to that : I was craving their Woh Wonton and Chicken Wonton soup as it has been one of my favorite go-to's for over 20yrs. I opened it with anticipation that it would be as I remembered. Taking off the lid so far so good, it smelled the same. Then the first bite goes in and when my taste buds kick in ... "SHEER DISAPPOINTMENT"!!! They had found a way to cope with order complaints regarding portion size, food being over cooked, price increases somehow, but not the flavor (or lak there of) complaints. It's sad because they used to be the best in town.

Ordered combination plate with half chow menu and half fried rice. And I only got fried rice. Called in and lady kept telling me they are closed.

I have to admit there food is alright, to salty for me! Plus the inside of the restaurant looks outdated, I mean wallpaper, old stained carpet, dust everywhere and tables and chairs looks like its still from the 60's or 70's! But I had a terrible time with the owner Bill (and NO his last name is NOT Wong lol) But this owner is RUDE and doesnt treat his customers professionally! Sorry but I've seen better chinese restaurants around the area, this one i surely don't recommend. Workers are OK but upon paying your bill especially for pick ups, they'll ask if you want to add a TIP? Most restaudrants dont ask their customers that kind of question! We automatically add TIPS because of the good service huh right?

Pork fried rice a hit, beef in oyster sauce a hit , fried prawns bland taste like nothing but batter, chow mein not worth my money again, beef in broccoli average. I'm new to the area and having a hard time finding good food of this variety . This spot definetly has specific things worth trying a little pricey to for the quantity they give
