I had a sandwich to go. It was good. The meatballs on the counter looked good.

This restaurant offers food and service that is as good or better than the best Sicilian restaurants in New York, emphasizing the bold, sweet-sour, spicy and aromatic typical of the Greek, Arab, Spanish, and North African influences found in the food of Sicily. The menu is excellent and the dishes are superb. Owner Gerry has excellent credentials in the restaurant business and his family happily join him in running a very fun and enjoyable deli with excellent wine and drinks. Long lines have been known to be experienced at normal meal hours, so if you don't want to wait, come in the off hours and you will enjoy your experience even more. Cheers!

I love this spot. Excited to try all of the menu.
The savory crepe is delicious as well. Ate it before thinking of taking a photo.

Such a cozy little Sicilian deli! The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere felt so welcoming. The puttanesca pasta special was incredible, so full of flavor and perfectly cooked. I wouldn’t recommend the eggplant rollatini as a main. Although delicious, the portion was quite small. Overall, a lovely experience and I will definitely be coming back!

Luca Deli is hands down the most authentic Italian spot in Arroyo Grande. I had the Italian beef (a Monday special), and it was absolutely incredible. The beef was tender and flavorful, the bread was out of this world, and dipping it into the rich au jus took it over the top. Honestly, it’s the best thing I’ve tasted in years. The atmosphere makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a true Italian neighborhood café, cozy yet vibrant. After talking with the owner, I learned that many of the ingredients come straight from Italy, which explains the authentic flavors. This place has an amazing vibe, and it’s the only spot in town that truly delivers real Italian food. A must-visit!

Turkey sandwich was just a sandwich.
Nothing great. Won't be going back.
Service was the worst. 3 guys in there working and still took forever over an hour to get our sandwich s .
The server dropped the bread on the floor, on the way to our table .
Rather then go back and get more bread 🍞 he just brought the 3 pieces that were left on the plate for 4 people at the table.
I had to get up and go to the counter because they forgot my coffee.
I ended up getting it after we were done eating just time to order dessert.
That took another 30 minutes to get.
The server was to busy messing with his hair every time I looked over at him.
When I went to the counter and asked about our dessert, he said as soon as he gets a chance.
Not away to run a business.
We drove from Bakersfield there to take a friend out to lunch & wanted to try somewhere new.
Prices were OK. But won't go back.

We decided to try a new restaurant for my birthday and we were not disappointed.
Holly was our server and she is so sweet.
We had the antipasto salad- their meatballs-and eggplant.
Good portions- great price and a cute little deli/ restaurant.
Good Job Owner!!

What an amazing place the atmosphere is nothing short of walking the streets of Portofino the food is so amazing and so fresh. The owner is always there and will speak Italian if you so ask. It’s our date spot for lunch and dinner.

$50+ for two basic small sandwiches on hard bread, two water bottles plus tip. Not worth it.

One of the best cappuccinos I have had on the central coast!

Real Sicilian food. On our first visit, we had a sandwich and antipasto plate. They were both excellent. On our second visit we went for dinner and had a rousing time with the table next to us and the staff. They had prepared some off the menu meals which were spectacular. We weren’t impressed with a bottle of wine we ordered, and they agreed with us after tasting and happily replaced it with a better one. We can’t wait to go back.
Luca’s Italian grinder is an incredible sandwich! The roll was crunchy, a little chewy; the meats were authentically flavorful, combined with dried and fresh tomatoes. This sandwich is a step above anywhere around the Five Cities. For dessert, a chocolate and the strachiatelli gelato, the perfect creamy and refreshing finish. Fan of Italian beer? I suggest Menabrea on tap. Highly recommended from start to finish.

Truly a Sicilian experience. Fresh pasta with well blended flavors. Local and DOC wine options. The owner is from Sicily and uses old world family recipes. Food is so good we had them cater our daughter’s baby shower and it was incredible (I highly recommend asking about their catering). And don’t forget the real espresso!! Can’t get enough of Luca’s!
