Had some chicken tacos with a side of beans and rice. Everything was really good, there was almost to much chicken in the tacos so it felt worth the price. The real star of the show was the green tomatillo sauce, it was so good I put it on everything.

Flaming Burrito Grill is definitely the most delicious Mexican restaurant in Auburn. The chef is on point. The plates are full of meat, rather than being stacked with rice and beans at other places, and the presentation of the meals is also well done.So, if you are coming here, expect good food.The service gets 3 stars for two reasons. First, there is no chip bar, and you will pretty much only get one small thing of chips during your stay here. Second, the cost of the menu, although not outrageous, is still slightly more than a typical competitor Mexican restaurant. (Say compared to El Portal also here in Auburn.) For example, we took our two small children to the restaurant and ordered a side of chicken. It was $12.00 for this small amount of food.Now, I'd love to give a higher service rating due to the chef, who has come out to our table on one of my other visits and checked on our table. He is friendly and definitely good at his craft.Overall, this is not a terribly busy restaurant with definitely delicious meals!

Not only is this the best place around for authentic Mexican food, but the owners Jose and his wife are incredible sweet. You can tell they pour their time and energy into this restaurant and the quality and service of the food shows! We love ordering the carne asada burritos and chicken mango salads, and everything we have tried has been delicious. This is our go to spot in Auburn.

This place is solid! When I crave a burrito especially when I am in this parking lot this is where I go. The tortilla is always good, the chicken is pretty good quality and everytime I finish every bite. The lady working the front is always very friendly, making sure I am happy with my food. I don't always get the free chips and salsa but when I do it is yummy. Warm crisp chips and pretty good salsa. The inside is a little older but it is always clean which is all that matters to me. Can't wait to come back.

The Carnitas California Burrito used to be my favorite (it's the best burrito ever, seriously)until I discovered I have celiac and can't have gluten. Family run business, always friendly and you can tell they put lots of love and care into their business. Closed Sunday and Monday but open 11-8 the rest of the days.
Really good Carne asada tacos. The medium salsa was perfect, just a little burn ?. Overall meal was Fire. Only downgraded atmosphere as it was just kind of plain inside.

This place is hands down the best carnitas I've ever had. Probably the best Mexican food in northern California. Just a hole in the wall up here in Auburn. The staff is also super friendly and give better service than fancy sit down restaurants. 11/10 would recommend.

The owners are the sweetest people! I went twice to the restaurant while on my trip. I had the enchiladas and the avocado salad with carnitas. Both were delicious and brought out to me quickly. I would highly recommend this to locals and any visitors to the area!
The best smothered fries around. They come crispy with blue cheese crumbles and bacon yum yum I even drove 25 mins just for these fries. Service is always awesome

Delicious! The perfect lunch stop on our way home from Tahoe. If we lived closer this would be a regular spot for us. Burrito was huge and ended up being 2 meals. Very friendly service and fresh salsa.

Second time coming here with my boyfriend and it was delicious. I got the carne asada plate and the asada was seasoned to perfection and no cartilage, excellent flavor. My boyfriend got the asada burrito and it was a large burrito, he couldn't even finish it! The service was wonderful as always, we were waited on in a timely manner and the owner/cook came to check on us during out meal. The ambiance was clean and we left happy and full. Will be back! Highly recommended.
