Awesome breakfast. It was fresh and delicious. Definitely coming back.
Mom’s Kitchen is a hidden treasure. No browns in and out of our Western Omelette - eggs perfect - temperature and presentation
Although they were out of a few things on my visit, they make up with the good quality of food. Best place to eat if your waiting on your car to get fixed or smogged it's walking distance from an auto repair.
We had lunch at Mom's on a recommendation and found the experience to be extremely delightful. Good food, friendly staff, and the "Moms Picture Displays" on the walls were fascinating. A clean, wholesome environment and a great menu.
Fast friendly service, our breakfast was perfect, my wife and I will definitely be back
Great food and friendly customer service.they have very good specials in the morning and I recommend itif you’re nearby.
First of all the owner has little to no interest in his own food. The food isn't fresh, it isn't good and I will not be back. It's disappointing to find a local business I cAnt support. Close your doors and move on friend. Breakfast is not you "jam"
A Must try, food is farabove the expectations, and great quality service
Tried this restaurant for breakfast, everything was so good, waiter was spot on, such a friendly place, cant wait to try their lunch menu. Love the theme of this restaurant , pictures of moms all around the room.
Great food....great service....great experience!
Great little breakfast dive, fun atmosphere and great service
This little spot is one of my favorites. Homey and yummy! The food is great. (The scrambled eggs, potatoes, and pancakes are my favorite!) The owner, Mike, is a sweetheart. Well worth a visit!
What a find! Tried the early bird special (before 9am). I chose 1 egg, bacon, hash browns for $4. Everything cooked perfectly. Came hot. Server was friendly, cheery, helpful. There are tons of pictures of moms on the walls.
Very friendly personnel in great service
Great food great service!
The best breakfast ever! I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs. It's the best and I don't even like chicken fries streak. Will be back.
Delicious food, tasty coffee, hearty portions, reasonable prices, and impeccable service. My husband and I got hungry on our way up to Lake Tahoe and happened upon this gem. We'll be sure to make trips up to Auburn just for breakfast :)
Good for breakfast. Home style food Service good.
Great chef's salad,meatloaf was excellent...
Great early bird offer...fair pricing and good food..naustalgic? old pictures of Auburn and local people
Mick and his family are awesome people. Love the simplicity of Mom's Kitchen. Food is good!
I've been here twice now and both times the food and the service are outstanding. It must be the owner who greets you, runs the kitchen, serves your food, buses your table, and rings you up at the end. Nicest guy in the history of nice guys. Best service you could ever ask for. How's the food you ask. Have a salad and ask for the homemade ranch dressing. Amazing! And have whatever is on special. Today I had the Gyro and homemade potato salad. Weird combination? Yep, but the flavors were excellent! Last time I had a burger and fries. It literally gave any burger joint in town a run for their money. and, yes, that includes Burger and Cream. Do yourself a favor and come her for breakfast or lunch. Treat yourself!
Great home cooked breakfast. Great hospitality and service. No complaints.
Awesome will be back definitely on my next trip to California with my Aunt Mary
Great food, fast friendly. Very reasonable prices.
Great pleace to eat homemade food.
Great service and good food
We threw retirees have been going to Mom's Kitchen for over a year and the food is very good made just like Mom used to do it. Mic the owner is a very friendly/efficient guy. Love this place!
Burger I had while not filling was beyond yummy. The service was among the best I have ever had anywhere. Owner was beyond attentive and friendly. This place is a must to eat at.
Country friend steak. That’s all you need. Great customer service and great prices.
This place was totally awesome and the food was fast hot and made perfectly not many restraunts now what over medium is but they do
Best value, normal sized servings, excellent service. The place for breakfast in Auburn.
A great breakfast place, I asked for crispy bacon and got exactly the way I asked, I'm definitely coming here when I'm in the area
There is so much to love about this restaurant. The first thing I feel in love with are all of the personal photos covering many different generations. I also have become a big fan of the owner who is very personal with his customers. Every time I go in he greets me with a smile. He knows about my passion for football and asks me how my team is doing. I enjoy visiting this place any time I can.
Off the road and across from a car repair shop is an unassuming breakfast & lunch joint. A round, red sign has "Mom's Kitchen: Breakfast & Lunch" in white facing the road on its brick wall. Inside is an expansive white walled - lined with bright red trim - where a variety of mom photos hang. It's a peculiar sight to be watched by so many motherly smiles and stares, but that's part of its theme. The cashier sits to the back left where the kitchen can be seen through the order-up window to its left. Seating is all to the right of the entrance. Short red-checkerboard topped tables are placed in the center of the grey floor while some taller tables line the windows. We were greeted with a smile by a employee who did triple duty as the main bus-person, waiter for every table, and who'd occasionally man the cashier. A laminated menu held all sorts of All-American dishes like scrambles, benedicts, pancakes 'n' waffles, and sandwiches for lunch. The potato pancakes seemed interesting. What came was a large plate occupied mostly by two large hash-brown-esque potato pancakes, a bowl of fruit, and two saucers - one with sour cream, one with salsa. By itself it had a nice, subtle, savory, potato-y flavor mellowed by egg and I believe some cheese. Add some of the sour cream and mild salsa, and you got a good start to the day sans the usual pancake or bacon. Not quite a latka but still quite delicious on its own accord. A nice thing to note was the quality of the fruit salad. Tangerines, apples, and bananas all put together but thankfully without the slime found some places. Overall, it's a pretty good place to nab a bit of comfort food housed in a peculiarly themed place with armed with friendly staff. For the price, it stands as one of Auburn's better options. It get's a good 4 (since I can't do 3.5).
My husband and I went in here on Valentine's Day, it wasn't our first visit. The prices are low, the food is in good proportions and very good. But, the service was awesome! I wish I would have caught his name, but I believe he is the owner. Very nice and was always smiling, such a pleasant place. Thank you for an amazing breakfast!
Amazing food, service and prices.
My first time here i ordered favorite meal which was a pattymelt and it great. I look forward to trying other interies in the future.
Mic is the owner and he is great and the food is great also!
