The owner wrote me off as someone who wouldn’t buy something from her store so she didn’t say a word to me until I walked toward the register. She also had not tried any of the products I asked about but simply said “oh they are good”. Not a bad place but basic customer service was not met.

Great customer service, friendly, gluten free options.

Could be a cool spot, but we were disappointed. Messed up my very small/simple order (didn’t find this out until I was already gone). Was not busy when we were there, so I was upset that I overpaid for what I ultimately received. Coffee was meh, and they *really* need to have some music playing inside - it was so uncomfortably quiet and awkward to be there, not somewhere you want to sit down at. Most infuriating was that they have a card price and a cash price mentioned, but when I realized I had enough cash on me to pay with rather than with a card the lady didn’t adjust the price down... even more so because they ended up messing up my order. For all of those reasons, I would not recommend. There are better options in Benicia for both coffee and for food.

We have been going to Dianna's for years. We moved to the area back in 2014, and found out in 2017 that my husband was celiac.

Dianna makes all her cakes, cookies, breads and pastries with loving care, and makes many items gluten free, which is such a treat for my husband.

Her sandwiches and coffee are good too, and she usually has homemade GF bread in reserve to make a quick GF sandwich for those requiring it.

Like any "local store", product availability varies. Some days my husband can get GF Banana Bread or Carrot Cake. Other times, those aren't available but GF Zucchini Bread and Red velvet cake are. It's actually a nice surprise.

I suspect Dianna's was hit hard by Covid, and I know she's mostly a one-man show now, which must be a lot of work. But she does a good job of cranking out the goodies and serving them up well.

If you're in the area, especially if you are celiac, I highly recommend giving Dianna's a try for lunch or coffee/tea and baked goods!

This place was awesome. I saw a lot of great stuff. The staff was nice and helpful. I was on the search for breakfast before 10 am on a Saturday. I ordered a breakfast burrito, hot chocolate and a cookie.

I will definitely return with friends for a quick bite.

I love this little gem in Benicia. Her sandwiches are always so delicious. You can order before you get there, but everything is always made really good so be patient,I love her pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw. It’s absolutely amazing.

Went there today and was very disappointed with the sandwich and the rude lady who was taking our order . She wasn’t very friendly! I hope this wasn’t the owner. We felt like we were bothering her. I ordered salami and cheese and it was probably one of the worst sandwiches I ever had for the high price. We also got the rigatoni which was very bland. There are much better options in Benicia.

Really cute general store vibes, with tasty assortment of baked goods. Their ? rhubarb pie, cookies and drinks (organic apple juice and chocolate milks)—are divine!

Cinnamon whirl is like a cinnamon roll croissant and it is amazing. Tasty gluten-free banana bread too. Drip coffee was smooth.

Really bad experience. We've grown up in Benicia--and have generations of relatives who live there--so we consider this our 'home town'. My wife ordered about 60 'red velvet' cupcakes for our daughter's college graduation party from Dianna's bakery. We have never had a dessert from this establishment previously, though they have been in town for a while.

When my wife arrived, they were not ready, and the baking lady was rushing to get them done. What we finally got tasted absolutely nothing like red velvet. They were dry, tasteless (almost void of sweetness, except for the over-applied frosting). Frankly, they tasted like something out of a box, with food coloring applied to mimic the red velvet color, and even then not prepared properly.

Later, my wife's mother told her that she had a previously bad experience their as well, but was reluctant to tell us for fear of throwing a wrench into our daughter's big day. I would recommend talking to the locals in town who have patronized this establishment and get their feedback.

I have known and frequented Dianna Bakery since the beginning and have always received very good service in all aspects. Attentive, careful, kind. Everything produced and served there is of excellent quality.

I recently visited Dianna's Bakery and purchased two slices of cake, anticipating a delightful treat. However, upon reaching home, I was disappointed to find a significant size difference between the slices. While one was a generous portion, the other, an end piece, was noticeably smaller.Paying the full price for both slices, I expected a consistent experience. The cake's quality was excellent, but the discrepancy left me feeling shortchanged. As a customer valuing fairness, I believe Dianna's Bakery should ensure equal value for all purchases.I hope this feedback helps Dianna's Bakery address the issue for a more consistent and enjoyable customer experience. Despite this hiccup, I look forward to Dianna's Bakery maintaining its reputation for delicious treats and fair customer service.

Cozy place for coffee, espresso, and bakery items. Espresso and scones were enjoyable and fresh. Lovely spot in Benecia.
