This place has always been a great resource for everything for the vegan kitchen. During this Imposed stay-at-home period they are offering online ordering with scheduled curbside pick up. The system is flawless and they had sufficient stock of everything I needed on the day I placed my order. The icing on the cake is that all proceeds go towards Animal Place, a sanctuary in Grass Valley, California.

Great place to buy cruelty free groceries and help animals at the same time. Staff is helpful and I believe they are volunteers.

Great little spot to pick up all the fun vegan items you can't find anywhere else! Love that they carry such a wide variety of fancy vegan cheeses as well as some non-food items like stickers and tees from vegan clothing lines. Definitely a must visit! Bonus: they're right down the street from The Butcher's Son, so it makes a nice trip to go visit both.

Great place to find all of our vegan goods. We used to go to Whole Foods until I realized that this place carries everything we need and more. I'd rather support a small business that is helping animals. During the shelter in place, were so happy that we can order our food online order and pick it up. They offer delivery through postmates also I believe.

Amazing variety of vegan products, from local/artisanal to mainstream. Surprisingly enough, prices are often cheaper than Whole Foods, and I feel much better spending money here.

I had a very pleasant experience. The staff were quite warm and welcoming. I would definitely go there again. If I lived in the area I’d be a regular customer.

I looove Animal Place and I have loooooved Vegan Republic. I'm not sure if they had a recent change of management but the current co-manager Kelly is not representative of past experiences with Vegan Republic. First, I drive up to 1.5 hours to get to Vegan Republic because I believe in its mission and I get excited every time I go there. Up until today, everyone has been super friendly and they have greeted me when entering and have offered yummy suggestions and have appreciated how excited I get everytime I'm in that store. It started off bad when she didn't even look up from her phone and it felt like a burden when I was asking her questions about some products that I had never tried at all. She was not very helpful. It felt strange because I never felt like that before but I love the store so much so I continued looking on my own. I finished my shopping and a cashier came in to replace co-manager Kelly. That cashier was super nice & helpful when I asked her questions and for recommendations. Then, I asked her for a price of a Snackrilege sandwich that didnt have a price. She gave me the price but then I noticed it was expired as it said 12/12 (with a black slash on it). She said that the expired ones are $1. So I decided to take a chance and try other flavors I was not familiar with. She then went to co-manager Kelly to verify whether those were indeed expiration dates. She came back and told me that all the sandwiches had come in on Wednesday (it's Friday) and that they would expire a week after receipt in store. Mind you the sandwiches were dated 12/12, 12/15 and only one had a date of 12/2? (twentysomething? we couldn't read it). And they all had the black slash on them. I pointed out the varying dates and Kelly came out to the front and insisted that they were all unexpired had just come in. I pointed out that one of the breads were very hard (like when it goes stale) but she said that happens sometimes because they get shipped in ice. I then asked what the dates represent. She literally avoided the question by saying that Vegan Republic does not date nor slash them and that like it or not, that's the sandwiches were going to be full priced. So then I told her I won't get any and she did not care nor apologize for the back and forth or confusion. I sadly did not find a sandwich with a future date so I had to leave without any sandwich. I left sad because this is the first time I did not trust what they said. I always trust Vegan Republic and what they tell me! I did not trust Kelly telling me that those sandwiches were not expired. (they were also all bunched up in a corner of the freezer and she said it was due to spacing even though other freezers had plenty of room and I usually see those sandwiches in a different freezer anyway). I got home, and contacted Snackrilege and they confirmed that the dates in the back of the sandwich ARE expiration dates. I am surprised that a co-manager does not know that and she LIED when she told me that they received ALL of those sandwiches on Wednesday unless Snackrilege engages in the practice of sending Vegan Republic expired sandwiches which I highly doubt-- that would not make sense. I hope that they consider educating the staff on this issue and more importantly, educating them on the issue of customer service and liability issues. I have worked in customer service for years and never would treat someone like Kelly treated me. I hope this is an exception to my otherwise lovely experiences at animal place. Falsely representing expiration dates to customers is a HUGE liability issue with real health repercussions. A customer may choose to assume that liability should it be DISCLOSED that it IS an expired item. But when there is misrepresentation and just unprofessional handling of the situation , that makes me question the seemingly new management at Vegan Republic. I hope this helps to clarify things and to improve how things are run because I truly believe that it is worth going out of my way to su

I try to come here weekly to buy foods I would normally purchase anyway such as Beyond Meat Brats, apple cider vinegar, Just Egg, Kite Hill raviolis and almond yogurt, miso ramen, organic soba, mac and cheese mixes, dry green lentils, a delicious organic pasta sauce and occasional fun vegan sticker or gift.

Really great variety of vegan products, both perishable and non perishable. Best part is that they carry the best of the items--solid pantry staples for any home, not just vegan ones. They also carry My favorite, Kite Hill cream cheese, pasta and yogurt! Awesome folks that work there too.

Animal Place's Vegan Republic allocates some profits for an animal sanctuary, thus the long name. small store with no fresh produce but interesting stocks of frozen, dry, and vegan snacks and food items. there's room in the back for food popups. disappointed in the ramen/instant noodle section. it seems all ramen whether vegan or not has a lot of sodium within. a compact one stop vegan shopping source. no need to go local grocery to look for vegan products. eats: "organic tings-baked corn sticks" (3.59) 6 oz, -has some fat, doesn't taste oily, tastes salty, has little sodium.
