Poutine right out of Quebec! Smokin' smoked meat and awesome owner Lex! Visit, ex-pats... you won't be disappointed EH

Being a person who used to live in Montreal and grew up on Smoked Meat, I just had to try this place. Don't get back to Montreal too often now. The smoked meat is great. It compares favorably with the Main on Boul. St. Laurent. The chef here "apprenticed" At Smoke Meat Pete's in Ile Perot in West Island Montreal. And he's got it right. They even have cherry soda but you gotta ask for more pickle. A little place that's home from home.

I'm not sure why poutine hasn't caught on in the States because there's nothing better than fries topped with cheese curds and gravy. Augie's serves up some delicious poutine and their gravy is good on everything. The fried cheese curds and gravy are another delicious side. Today they had a "Canadian Dip" special which was a smoked meat sandwich with gravy to dip and a side of cole slaw. I like that their slaw is lightly dressed in a vinegar dressing and not sweet and mayonnaise.

We have been missing the poutine, sandwiches and pickles during covid-19. It was sure nice to enjoy them again outside at the new location. I can't wait until they are able to fully open in the new spot.

Really, really, really great deli food. Real east coast quality pastrami and corned beef. Terrific slaw and potato salad. Crispy tart pickles. Reasonable prices for the quality.

Nicest people. The menu is QR coded. But they have a blackboard. Nice little place to eat outside with benches, table, and chairs. Pssst, they let you use their restroom. Super cool. The "original" was pastrami on rye, coleslaw, and pickle. The pastrami was so fresh. At least 5 slices. The coleslaw was too spicy for me or was too vinegary. Pickle was delicious and crunchy. The spicy mustard packet was very good, not spicy at all. Sunny sitting outside just to hang out. The chicken matzo soup was delucious and good, not too salty. Just a great relaxing eating outdoors and socially distanced. They have signs pointing their directions for people who are shopping at the other end. Shoppers, make sure you go towards overpass and pass old Spenger's thst is niw closed. Please call ahead because i think Augie might be closed after June 1st to take a break.

First time visiting them after they relocated to a new spot and doubt ill be back. Having been here several times before was feeling that poutine need, unfortunately it was really off: fries were overdone (old oil I think), gravy felt a bit thin or not enough, curds were still good, unfortunately both me and my friend has stomach issues after eating here. Maybe its just growing pains from the new location (old spot was usually on point) but was very disappointed. Hopefully they figure things out but cannot recommend at this point.

Pretty solid pastrami sandwich. It's not Katz's but I'll take it. I love that you can actually choose between fatty/medium/lean for the pastrami meat.

First time back today post move. It is still killer! Delicious...we did curbside pickup, texted per the instructions, flawless....got the smoke meat plate (it was stacked, enough for leftovers!), the classic poutine and fried cheese curds. What we love just as much as the food is as how kind and cool they are. A local business who gives their all to every customer. Nom nom!

Great pandemic outdoors seating. My wife buys packaged meats here to put on our own salads and sliders. Good quality meat and a great use for the former Brennan’s restaurant. I hope they stick around!

Poutine, deep fried cheese curds, brisket and bacon sandwiches. In other words, Canadian comfort food. The quality is definitely there, and portions are generous. They have moved from their old location which was a mile south of the current place. The new location is larger, with a nicer interior. Can't wait for indoor dining to be allowed again.

Had the cold pastrami sandwich. So good. So much meat. The light rye is my new favorite. I love my smoked meats. I have smoked 4 briskets my self. This is by far the best ever. Just the perfect amount of smoke. A beautiful cut of meat. Thin sliced to order. The slaw was great. The pickles on the side are unique and something to behold. I hope they get going full blown soon. Small selection of deli items. I have yet to try poutine. My next adventure is here. Open the bar please.

My friends and I are from Canada and they swear by this place. They're willing to drive ~30min as it's one of the more authentic spots in the Bay. Tried both the Smoked Meat Poutine and Smoked Turkey Poutine. Not a big difference between the two since the gravy covers much of the flavour. One of the few places in the Bay that actually uses cheese curds. I believe they import it from Canada? Got quite salty partway through the dish because of the gravy. I add Ketchup since the sour flavour cuts through some of the heaviness of gravy and fries.

Came in with no expectations so this was surprisingly good. I went with the Pastrami Sausage Sandwich & Fries...I won't lie, I read sandwich and thought I was going to get a sandwich oops. Regardless, it was good but more so the fries! For sweet potato it was crispy and delicious. The dog itself was pastrami tastic. I'll definitely come back to come back to try a sando. Eat well and read the menu carefully. -ant
