I had run by and the food smelled great but I didn’t know which restaurant it was, so (I’m not joking) I walked down the street until I smelled that same aroma from earlier. I lost the receipt so I don't remember which dishes I ordered, but I remember getting their 2 combo specials, either samosas or poori and a lassi. I do know the food was amazing. I had arrived past noon, and the food was fresh, and the naan was piping hot. I live an hour away, but this is one of those restaurants I would make a detour for.

Credit Card ONLY!! Friendly staff and was greeted when we arrived. It's on a busy corner so lots of foot traffic. Location is a chill spot with 3 large tables and one long window/wall table seating. Food selection were delicious. We tried the samosas, chicken curry, goat curry, saag paneer, tikka masala, chicken tandoori. Combos come with large portion of rice and 2 slices of naan. Large portions of combos that my family couldn't finish.

Popped in here on a whim with my daughters for a quick dinner before record shopping across the street wasn’t expecting much considering the location and sure enough the atmosphere was bright fluorescent lights and sticky tables and a locked bathroom and piles of who knows what in the corner, the quintessential definition of a hole in the wall restaurant. But the gentleman at the front counter was super friendly and gregarious and didn’t make us use the ordering kiosk and brought us out several dishes of surprisingly flavorful and quite spicy food which the three of us liked a lot. He even let me come back an hour later and use the bathroom which I thought was nice. Overall, don’t expect much as far as atmosphere, considering it’s a pretty rough and tumble part of town, but the food was plentiful and spicy and generally that’s all I care about.

I have no idea about the food. I tried to ask the guy at the counter a question, and he just pointed to the QR code taped to the table. I don't patronize restaurants where pointing is their idea of customer service, especially when they're charging full service prices.

Worst Indian food I've ever had. It pains me to write this but I am BAFFLED by the good reviews here. I am not sure my food was even prepared in the same building as any spices. This was not even prepared to a mild level of spice. Utterly tasteless, despite directions to make it spicy (and I like it really spicy). My paneer tikka - a dish that is very difficult to get wrong - was just huge chunks of paneer with not a speck of seasoning/flavor and so burned the paneer is inedible. I am not kidding when I say the flavor was non-existent - I didn't even think this was possible. No spices or seasoning whatsoever. Not even an iota of a hint of paneer tikka's usual red-orange color. So burned it can't even be repurposed/added to something else. Garlic naan had absolutely no garlic flavor. If you like British levels of spicy maybe this place is for you, but I've never had food so utterly devoid of flavor.

We really enjoy eating here. We visit Berkeley about 4 times a year and look forward to the Indian buffet which is very reasonably priced. This is a great location for takeout with free 1 hour parking in the red building across the street. The location is perfect - we like to wander around the area and do some shopping. The meat is Halal. There are vegetarian options on the buffet. The saag paneer and curry chicken and lentils were great. Thank you for a great experience.

First time here and this place really exceeded my expectations. Customer service was great, the cashier/owner (not sure haha) was very patient and helped me order. The food was very good and try the butter chicken.

I ordered from this place through Doordash , spending $85 and opting for several items, including saag paneer, my favorite dish that I always order from every Indian restaurant I go to. The vegetable pakora was a little burnt but tasted decent. Most of the other items were just okay. The bread pakora and saag paneer were the worst. (see pics and captions) The palak paneer had little to no cream in it, was dry and had NO seasoning! Like none. I had opted for "no spice" on Doordash, not no seasoning! The bread pakora was supposed to have mashed potatoes and peas in it but had neither and was mostly hollow. There's nothing worse than spending your hard-earned money on food only to have it be mediocre at best. I was excited to try the place too. :(

We catered from Delhi Diner for an event at UC Berkeley, and they have the best chai and samosas. Not only is the food delicious, but the customer service is great. I really recommend them for some of the best and most comforting South Asian food in Berkeley.

Naan was hard as rock. Saag was sour. Goat was raw. Never coming back. Go to viks instead.
