Gongcha is one of the better boba options around the UC Berkeley campus - there are TONS nearby, but only a few of them are actually good. Gongcha is one of them! I usually go for a simple oolong tea or milk tea with either boba or grass jelly. They also have great snack/food options to order with your drinks (the place always smells like egg waffles), and are located conveniently right across from campus. My only con about this place (as with all other boba shops in Berkeley) is their price point.

Every time I visit this location, I swear I feel like I'm at a rave. I don't mind it though! My go-to is their wintermelon w/milk tea with their sea cream on top. So bomb. Their popcorn chicken is pretty good too.

Great experience. I went to get my birthday drink. He was so nice. I wanted to try a new drink. He said that I try it and if I don't like it, I try another. I tried the Taro Milk tea. I didn't like it because drink taste like grassy. I told him. I didn't like it. He made me another drink.

Meh. It’s alright. Ordered noodles with boba. Interesting concept, but it’s just noodles with few dumplings and veggies and boba. Maybe I should’ve added their signature sauce but it’s spicy and I have GERD.?

I love Gong Cha but something seems to be off with this location. It always takes a lot longer than usual and drinks are off as well. Their flavored tea are really sweet even with 30% :(

Pretty average boba shop. I ordered a matcha milk tea with red bean without sugar, as I usually do when I get boba. However, when I got my drink, it was still sweeter than I expected. It's ok, and the prices are alright, but with so many good options in the area, it's not really worth coming here.

Pleased! I ordered my matcha smoothie with boba through door dash. About $5.50 I think, because boba was an extra 50 cent. Flavor was good! Very matcha-y. Not too sweet. I would order again. Only complaint is I wish they blended the ice more.

While the chicken curry bento box was only meh and the music was on too loud for my single dining experience there was AC! Cool, blessed AC while the temperature outside was mid-90s. Thumbs up, Gong Cha!
