Cute decor often featuring all kinds of different local art, great coffee and tasty food. Also the staff is super nice! One of my favorite places to go study or get breakfast.
The food was incredible, I'll definitely be back. We had the plantains, black beans and rice with chicken, everything was so flavorful. The owner is so nice.
Came in last Wednesday morning and I'm the only customer there and I needed something quick... I thought coffee and avocado toast should be quick, waiting for 15 minutes untill asking where's the toast, I've made toast before and I know it doesn't take 15 minutes, then the young lady who took my order eyes became wide and she proceeded to grab a slice of toast. At that point I said just give me a refund I was running behind, she proceeded to blame the printer malfunctions sometimes... Really... She took my order and I was the only customer there and she needs a printer to tell her to make an order... Somebody please train this girl to be awake
Food was very good!
Quick service, tasty food (they make the hot sauce, available upon request, in house and it'd good!) and felt safe dining in the carve out on the street with plants between us and passing traffic.
I came in here for a cup of tea. The server (owner?) glared at me almost the entire time. When my sister in law (blond and blue eyed) arrived to meet me (brown woman), the server was exceedingly kind to her, offering sugar and milk for the exact same tea that I had ordered, which she hadn’t done for me. I would have thought that a business with a name like this would be more inclusive. Never coming back and don’t recommend it at all.
Artistic and cozy feel
Love this place. Not run of the mill. No chain. Authentic. Great coffee.
I love this cafe. The staff is always so friendly and welcoming. The waffles are amazing! Definitely a must try. If your ever in Berkeley definitely try this place out you will not be disappointed.
Such a fun place with excellent, clean food.
Had a veggie sandwich here for lunch. Tasted fine, but the disappointing thing was that it seemed to be pre made. They plucked out a sandwich in which all the veggies had already been grilled, and basically put it in the grill to reheat and melt the cheese. At $11, I expect fresh food. Smiling service and all that.
Great place. Friendly employees, good food, priced well. Plenty of vegetarian options. Not usually crowded. Great spot.
A place that's pricey for portion sizes like Guerilla Cafe usually gets at most 4/5 in my book, but I'm bumping this review down a star because the feta cheese in my Eggs Mediterranean tasted funky. I think it was almost going bad... 4/5 for presentation. The bread was toasted nicely and arranged neatly on the plate. There were four pieces in total, along with two neatly poached eggs, three olives, three cucumber slices, and a few halved cherry tomatoes. I paid $11 for this plate and think a fuller breakfast is warranted as mentioned earlier. Summary: come here for a cutesy brunch if you're not feeling hungry. The dress is also casual, and the ambiance relaxed. It was not very crowded here (~6 people inside, 2 more outside) when my friend and I came here for breakfast on a Saturday at 10:30 am.
Superb breakfast fare, great workers, excellent desserts, fair prices. The ultimate in fast casual.
Great place - great food - great service
