Hands down the best spot to have a beer and talk with friends, neighbors, or strangers. It's not a large space, but always manages to have enough room to be more than comfortable. The ambiance is warm and inviting with a clean, minimalist look. The beer is stellar, and they always keep variety on tap. Hoi has become an anchor for the neighborhood.

This quaint little bar has a funky yet modern ambiance, and super friendly staff to go along with the wide beer selection. They play some great music and even have a weekly DJ spinning hip-hop tracks on Friday night (forget the exact hours, but the bartender made it sound super fun!).Fantastic spot for audiophiles, beer drinkers, chill folks alike!

Nice counterculture vibe and truffle popcorn with tasty libations. Enjoyed the women’s day IPA and chatted with the labradoodle named Tucker for a bit. Pleasant people here as it is a neighborhood brew place. Che Guevara Argentinian image on the wall—if your near give it a brew stop.
Love Hoi Polloi! Never a bad time for a trip to the local watering hole. $3 for bottomless popcorn also a great deal, although not everyone loves the truffle oil.

First - their beers are great. IPAs, lagers, Belgians, and their Doppelbock were spot on. Second, they have $3 all you can eat fresh, gourmet popcorn. Third, their beertender Tessa Shimizu is not only friendly and great at her job, but they let her display her photographc art. It's definitely worth buying and following on Instagram @ _tessashimizu.

This place seems like a hidden spot in Berkeley area. Its a small taproom with very cute sitting areas. They have nice variety of beers and the bartender is very kind to explain/ recommend beers to the customers. They don't have much snacks but Ive seen ppl bringing their own food to pair up with the drinks. I really enjoy their beer with the peanut that they serve as snack. It was my second time to visit this place. I would totally go back for a beer.

Great beer! I tried the it’s Greeeaat! hazy and it was just how I expect a Hazy to be. Then got a bit more off the mainstream and tried the internationaliste saison and they nailed that as well. The vibes at Hoi Polloi are unmatched. Great place, great music, great people, great beer.
