iScream for ice cream! As a child, it was always special when my family would take me here for a sweet treat. Fast forward, now that I'm dairy-free, I haven't been to iScream since I was a teen but I'm so glad that I've come back with my childhood best friend! My best friend and I came on a weekday afternoon. It was the perfect sunny day for dessert. The ice cream parlor is on the smaller end with a couple of tables, but it mainly operates as take-out. Plenty of happy families and customers come in, and service has always been inviting and kind. Operating as an artisan ice cream shop, you can taste the quality of their ingredients, plus free samples. They offer traditional and specialty flavors as well as different sizes and cups and cones. Their Burnt Caramel was my go-to as a child but this go around I had baby scoop of the Pink Grapefruit Sorbet. The Pink Grapefruit Sorbet was sweet and the grapefruit flavor came at the end, though it melted quite fast. My only wish is that they offer more vegan flavors! My friend enjoyed the Marzipan. iScream is a special place ice cream lovers gravitate towards on Solano Ave. Find street parking in the area. There's always a group of happy customers coming in and out! I'm looking forward to coming back again soon.

I got the baby cookies and cream ice cream with the chocolate waffle. It was pretty cheap and she gave me a good portion of ice cream even though it was supposed to be a "baby" scoop. The cookies in the cookies and cream was moist and chocolatey. The ice cream was smooth and creamy. The waffle was so crispy and it goes so well paired with the ice cream. The shop itself is pretty small and it's not quite the place where you would sit down and eat. It's more like a grab and go.

If you have to sum it up in one word, the word would be disappointing. I am talking about the joint on Shattuck Ave. in the food court, where Lush Gelato used to be. Now that was great stuff. They had so many flavors they had a huge board up there with all the flavors posted, about 23 or so. They would occasionally change them, sometimes featuring exotic stuff like raspberry chocolate, creamery cowgirl or whatever they called it, you forget so long after they closed down, but it was just delish. Now, that big board is just empty. It would be silly to post their flavors up there, because they only have about 7 or 8. They post them below in a very unassuming display. And you only get one flavor per scoop, the point of which is to make you spend more and get 2 scoops. Lush would give you two flavors per scoop, and generally they were generous with the scoops. The ice cream is really expensive and you get a really small amount. I went in once, and then never went back. I can't remember what flavor i had. It was very forgettable. I say forget about this place. Better off buying ice cream at the store, and enjoying a whole bowl, than spending all that cash for one small scoop of only one forgettable flavor.

I love this place! It has always been my favorite ice cream place because it has unique flavors and great service. The ice cream is made on sight with quality ingredients and lots of care. My favorite flavor is salted caramel but all of them are good, especially the sorbet.
Located near the top of Solano Ave, they have a variety of ice cream flavors that do change. I haven't had a flavor there that I did not like. Apparently they make all their ice cream organic which is cool, but to be honest I can't really taste the difference. Service here was quick and fast so if you see a line, don't worry about being in that line too long. Not much indoor seating is offered and they do have some outdoor seating available. Other than that the ice cream is delicious.

Great service and great and fresh flavors. Tonight was Pumpkin Spice in a warm waffle cone. My wife had the Marble Maple which was so amazing! Kiddos had chocolate and cookies n cream in chocolate waffle cones with sprinkles. Always a great treat!
