Close to Cal campus and really good food. I ordered the short rib bowl and the ribs were very tender and the sauce was good. I also ordered the loaded fries and they were tasty too. Would go again and try other things.

I always enjoy finding a unique new food! The fried rice buns are a nice contrast to the tender Korean short rib.

I appreciated the service, although I found the prices to be a bit on the higher side. The food was good. It was my first visit, and I plan to return to this place again. Thanks for the good service!

Koja has been in the area for a few years now and while it was okay when I first tried it, I've had a much better experience now with new management and their menu. They're known for their koja which is a bun made of crispy rice with your choice of protein in the middle. Their short rib is delicious, but more of a trendy type of food that eating once will satisfy. I was actually more blown away by their fried chicken sandwich which has a regular bun, but great fixings and seasonings that make it stand out.I also got ahi tuna poke which I wouldn't expect from this place, but it was fine compared to everything else. They also have great fries which they load up on sauce, toppings, and meat depending which one you get.The service is always straightforward here and they manage a ton of order from various apps. You can dine-in here and it's a casual atmosphere, but I find it better to get food to-go and eat somewhere nearby. Would recommend them to a friend who wants some tasty food with Asian flair

I recently ordered takeout from Koja Kitchen, and I have to say it was a fantastic decision! The flavors in their Korean-Japanese fusion dishes were outstanding, even when enjoyed at home. The convenience of their takeout service made the entire experience a breeze. The only downside was missing out on the restaurant's cool ambiance, but the delicious food more than made up for it. Koja Kitchen's takeout option is a great way to savor their mouthwatering offerings in the comfort of your own space. Highly recommended!

Came here years ago and it was ok. Had it now and it was awful. The rice patties were drenched with cheap, flavorless oil, -short rib was tough, -flavor was so flat and needed something with acid; kimchi, sriracha, pickled cucumbers... Boring, chewy, grease bomb. And with being almost $12, it was so tiny and such a rip off. Only table available was filthy, covered in oil and sauce- inside was loud and stuffy. Embarrassed I brought a gluten free visitor here

I recently had the pleasure of savoring the Short Rib Koja at KoJa Kitchen, and it was nothing short of a culinary revelation. If you're on the hunt for a unique and mouthwatering fusion dish, the Short Rib Koja should be at the top of your list. From the very first bite, I was transported into a world of flavor and innovation. The Short Rib Koja is a brilliant blend of Korean and Japanese cuisine, where traditional ingredients come together to create something truly extraordinary. The marinated short rib was tender and bursting with savory, umami-rich goodness. The fusion of Korean barbecue flavors with the Japanese-style rice buns was a delightful surprise that worked harmoniously to create a perfect balance of textures and tastes. The accompaniments and toppings were equally exceptional. The slaw provided a refreshing contrast to the rich short rib, with a pleasing crunch and a hint of tanginess. The sriracha aioli added just the right amount of heat and creaminess, elevating each bite to a whole new level. One of the standout features of the Short Rib Koja is its portability. The use of rice buns not only adds a unique twist but also makes it easy to enjoy on the go. It's a perfect choice for a quick lunch or a satisfying snack

The spare rib sandwich and kamikaze fries were bomb. The wings were just ok

Grabbed lunch, and got the BBQ chicken KoJa "sandwhich", rice patties actually worked very well! The chicken itself was so delicious!!! Price is a bit high for what it is, but Telegraph has more expensive, and this little Sando hit the spot! Not necessarily gonna be a regular, but will be back for sure!?
