We came here for breakfast and had an excellent experience. We ordered the omelette fromage et jambon, cote est with an oatmeal raspberry pancake, cote sud, and les oeufs lucas. Everything we ordered was excellent, but our favorites were the oatmeal raspberry pancake and the home fries. We’ll definitely be back when we’re back in Berkeley!

The food quality was excellent! I’m the end that is the most important aspect of any restaurant. Service was prompt. I would recommend the hot chocolate. Sooooo good. They did run out of some pastries though, so go early.
I used to love the home fries here, but it’s just more like boiled potatoes been slightly stir fried now. Not as crispy as it used to be.

food was mid for a $20 chicken sandwich. it’s like a worse mezzos. we waited like an hour when we sat down at the table. the french toast was dry and the potatoes were dry, but it was okay.

Hella French! This place is awesome and I had no idea it was there. Food is phenomenal and well priced for what you get. Sandwich was delicious and my wife loved the tuna nicoise. Highly recommend!

Always delicious every time (but be sure to make reservations! Very busy spot.) outdoor patio and indoor seating available. Both of which have a lovely atmosphere. Great omelettes, pastries, coffees, and alcoholic beverages. They have just the right ratio of champagne:juice in their mimosas (in other words.. more champagne than juice!)

The food is delicious and the service is excellent. If you haven't made a reservation, you'll have to wait a little while at such a famous place, but it's really worth it.
The food was pretty standard, but they charged a 22% service fee for a party of 5, and added on surcharges until we paid almost 140% of the original prices.

Sunday morning breakfast/brunch. Busy and wait time is a given. Usually, amazing home fries, good omlets & coffee, capuccino/latte. however, one of the omlets came kind of cold! & not too crazy about the rest of the breakfast we ordered, including a cinamon-less dry french toast & OK pancakes. Perhaps the kitchen was too busy this time. However, just the home fries earn all the stars!

Wanted some brunch in the Berkeley area and headed here. My friends ordered the brioche pain perdu and cote nord while I ordered the ratatouille which was served with couscous. I thought my dish was very single note and needed more varying flavors and textures. It also could have benefitted from more cheese. My friends seemed to enjoy their dishes- I tried the French toast and thought it was good but not special.Service was really good though! But overall, I found the prices way too high for what you're getting.

They charged for gluten free bread and oat milk in coffee. The server did not mention that and that was not even mentioned in the menu. It didn’t feel right the way the extra charge was imposed.

I am usually loathe to rate small businesses harshly. However, this place is packed, so I feel comfortable taking them down a notch. The food and coffee is very mid and overpriced. The sausage was not bad. But the rest of the food is below par. The coffee especially was disappointing. I can name multiple cafes that would easily crush.I genuinely don't know why this place is so packed. There are far better brunches to be had at this price range.
