Great little theatre in a fun location. Close to Bart and good eats. The theatre itself has movies that often stop playing in other theatres and the atmosphere is very interesting. The theatre chairs are quite comfortable, but some of the theatres are quite small for Kirsten standards. Staff was friendly and helpful. I didn't get to try concession foods yet, but I will be back!

I've been going here since 1962, seen tons of great movies there since then. Of course, it was a very different theater back then, but I will always have a soft spot in my heart for the Shattuck Theater. We had a lot more small theaters back then carrying foreign films, etc. So today, I am grateful for the Shattuck Theater for exhibiting films that might otherwise not be seen. The staff is always friendly.

I've had good visits here in the past. They often play those Indie films which are released during awards seasons, pricing is affordable, no assigned seating (one of few still left that hasn't transitioned to this format) and a solid array of snacks The reason I'm knocking them down by two stars is tonight I felt one staffer was particularly militant. I'd purchased food across the street from a deli and, being it was cold, sat down inside to eat my sandwich. I was in a corner not bothering anyone until this older gentleman told me to leave, aa there's no food/drink allowed...even though I hadn't technically even entered the actual theater, made zero mess and was a soon to be customer. Sadly I have a feeling Ebenezer Scrooge (which i literally called this wannabe Axel Foey) confused me for a homeless person...and, even if I was one, be nicer. If you're that anal retentive over nothing, I can always watch elsewhere. Overall it's a good theater but clearly employs folks who take situations and themselves too seriously

Love the fact that they have many independent and foreign language films. The seats are comfortable, most of them are in good condition, and it is easy to grab a good seat since it isn't crowded (I've been to 4 movies so far). The staff is friendly as well. The website is easy to navigate. Prices are quite reasonable, and there's a discounted pass for 25 tickets.Not sure what more you could ask for.

Went for a Saturday afternoon matinee. Clean and comfortable seats. Enjoyed the movie. Picture and sound we're great! Parking can be a challenge!
Clean theatre? Are you joking me? The bathroom is always disgusting and smells like urine. Good indies but we are not going to spend our money on a theatre where you have to vaccinated to enter. Good luck. You'll need your customers before they need you and your theatre.

I love Shattuck Cinemas and am kicking myself for not coming here more often! I went on a lowkey Sunday night and was in awe at how much I had forgotten about this theatre. There's really cool movie posters lining the walls to the bathroom, there are really comfy and large reclining seats in the theatre itself, there are rugs and intricately ornate wood carvings on the walls!! What is NOT to love?!? The employees were so welcoming and warm. The movies are GOOD! I love Shattuck Cinemas and highly recommend checking it out.
