Delicious food with great prices! I got a huge miso soup for the price of a tiny one at another restaurant. Highly recommend!

The sushi/nigiri is not worth the price, there’s barely any sushi in the combos. Since sashimi is usually more expensive anyway, in my opinion just go to higher-end place. The bentos are pretty decent for the price, can see them as everyday grab and go meals.

I’ll give them four stars on the food because of the value proposition… The fish is always fresh, and the portions are more than reasonable for the price point. They have a ready to go refrigerated case that they stock for the lunch hour. You can get a sushi combo With tax and tip at the door for about $16. It will easily kill you up.Sometimes, in the evening, it can be a little backed up for to go orders. In the past sometimes they get the orders mixed up, so be sure to check your bag before you leave. They are fairly popular with locals and the college crowd. They tend to be my go to because they are close to my house, convenient, and prepare your order quickly .

Really well priced sushi for the area. The seating inside is nice and has a home vibe to it. Small seating arrangements though. Was interesting to order, you order at the register and then they bring the sushi out, so no waiter just a busser.Sushi was pretty average, but for the price, I thought it was good.

This is my go-to sushi place in Berkeley! Manpuku is a small sushi spot and they have great prices and equally as amazing rolls! We got two Kokomo rolls and it's always perfect for any occasion. Service is fast but I'd recommend calling or ordering online ahead of time so you can grab and go! There's a couple of seats in the store but this is one of those rare sushi places where to go orders are just as good as eating there. You can see the sushi bar and there's always a hustle and bustle to the place. No bad things to say about Manpuku! Please do yourself a favor and check it out!

This place is a classic UCB place to grab sushi and has changed hands a few times since my college days, but I was in the area recently and had a craving to treat myself. Sushi here is good quality and decent prices. For $23. I got 2 different maki rolls and 4 nigari. Can't beat the taste and prices.

This is literally my favorite sushi place near Berkeley campus, I'm surprised the overall ratings aren't higher. Small mom and pop shop but great vibes, although wait can get a bit long and weekends. You order at the front, seat yourself, and they bring the food to you. Everything is sooo fresh and delicious, for an amazing price too. I think the sushi combos are the absolute most worth, definitely 5/5 for being less than $40 and enough to fill two people. Came with 8 pieces of nigiri, a choice of salmon or tuna maki, california roll, and a tempura roll. All the other makis were delicious as well, very fresh and came with very generous filling sizes. Each roll was under $6, with the cheapest, the oshinko, being like $2(??!!), where can you find these prices anymore in Berkeley??!!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Manpuku, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The restaurant offers a delightful fusion of Japanese cuisine, with a focus on katsu curry and sushi, both of which were nothing short of excellent.Let's start with the katsu curry. The moment the plate arrived at my table, I could smell the mouthwatering aroma of perfectly fried, crispy katsu. The curry sauce was rich, flavorful, and had just the right balance of spices. It had a comforting, homely taste that transported me straight to Japan. The portion size was generous, ensuring I left with a satisfied stomach and a happy heart. Now, onto the sushi. The sushi at Manpuku was a true testament to their commitment to freshness and quality. Each piece of sushi was a small work of art, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the rice was expertly seasoned. The variety of sushi options on the menu allowed me to explore different flavors and textures, and I was thoroughly impressed with each selection I tried.
