Beautiful restaurant in a beautiful location please come here now! Everything is made from scratch - including their Chicken Mole! It is a multi-stage-multi-hour process to make Mole & they are doing it from scratch 10/10 Highly recommend!!!! They are also family-owned and a really nice family — come by for some food or some pictures!!!!

I have been going here every week for months, and they have always served me great food! I particularly like the pricing on the burritos and I recommend getting it with barbacoa. On colder days, the enchiladas and pozole are also delicious.

I have mixed feelings about Mexicana. On one hand, the value is OK and the atmosphere in being across from Cheeseboard and in Epicurious garden is great.
On the other hand, the food (particularly, the nachos) are pretty mid. The meat was over cooked, though the shrimp was ok, and the cheese was not melted. The salsa was good but the flavors overall were lackluster.
Not really sure how in California a Mexican restaurant can have this high a rating but taste like this. This should be a 4.0 restaurant TOPS.

They fry the outside of the burritos a little which is very tasty.
Also friendly, affordable, and nice outdoor seating in garden.
I don’t understand why this place is not more popular. I usually go for dinner and have never had to wait in line.
Vegetarian options: There are burritos with vegetables, tofu, or just beans. I get the veggies. I also get no cheese for vegan option.
