Love this spot! There’s always a delicious pastry or 3 available, boichik bagels with vegan schmear options, and they had HAND PIES the other day from Edith’s Pie (like a guest pop up situation I’m guessing?) I got the chorizo potato and my spouse ordered the sausage, egg, and cheese. We were both pleased! The staff is always really nice, there’s ample seating inside, a bar area, a back patio, and two or three tables our front.

Love this place. The drinks are delicious, the atmosphere is cozy and easy to work in or sit down with a friend, and the pastries are so good! I highly recommend the mochi muffins, and if you’re not a coffee person, the matcha latte is the perfect balance of earthy, matcha flavor and a hint of sweetness.
Had to change this review. Highwire changed pastry vendors a few weeks ago, and the quality is down. Bready croissants, not so great. No more of the great seasonal Kouign Aman, just a Nutella one? I am cut to the heart.Starter bakery, just down the street, is far superior for baked goods.Highwire is still a place for excellent coffee. Best coffee, and opens at 7 on weekends.

The espresso I had was middling, and the couch seating was dirty. The service was upbeat and friendly, at least!

That's such a nice place for any sort of gathering, either with your work out group or solo, reading the New Yorker, scrolling social media, or thinking, thinking. I usually take their Americano, because sometimes the milk-based drinks disguise the real coffee profile. To me, their coffee roast is very rich, chocolaty and sweet, not over-burned at all. It speaks of ideas, of eureka, of focus.

Wooowww… best cappuccino I’ve had in a hot minute and my coffee meter is now fulfilled to its new heights. I ordered it with oat milk and got a chamomile/lavender hop tonic as well. Also the staff helped me pick out a freshly roasted bag of coffee. Will be back every time I’m in the east bay!

Dropped to pick up coffee beans. They were out of the beans I wanted but told me when the next shipment would be in. I opted for an alternate bag of beans and was offered the customary free cup of coffee when you buy beans. Just so happens they were serving the same Coffee I wanted to try! BTW. The Nigerian Kiri Coffee is awesome. Thank you.

Perhaps we came on a bad day as prior visits were 4 star experiences coffee wise. The latte lacked in strength and complexity on the palate and was missing espresso smelling notes and substantive crema. We confirmed prior there would be 2 shots. The cappuccino was average. This establishment has its own roasted beans which is always a big plus for me. The interior is large and clean, with several tables and chairs for working. The outside patio is a fantastic place to enjoy drinks and food while soaking up the sun, surrounded by large potted succulents and other plants. This amazing private place features a large jazz mural superbly illustrating several instruments, musical devices and notes. Easy 5 for this ambience! For now the 3 rating appropriately represents my experience a few days ago. I plan to revisit in the future and will adjust my rating as warranted.Parking: Parking is not difficult to find

Such a lovely place in every way -- staff, food, beverages and especially the ambience. Very welcoming to those who want to sit with a cup of coffee, a book, and two hours to kill. Only complaint. They close too early ( 4 p.m.) -- wanted to stay much longer.
