I ordered delivery, but what I ordered is not what it look like on the photos. I don't waste food, but what I ordered was the honey crunch roll which was soggy and drench with sauce, and snow dragon roll that didn't had all the toppings, no tobiko as pictures no chopped scallions or green onions as pictured, or sauces as pictured.

Even for the low price of this place, I would have expected more from the food.

Me and friend were Downtown and craving sushi, so we decided to go here. A lady greeted us right away and sat us down, and took our orders. I ordered the Dragon Roll with the Berkeley Roll and miso soup, and my friend got the Rainbow Roll. It didn't take long for our orders to be ready. My Dragon Roll and Berkeley Roll tasted fresh and the miso soup seemed standard. My friend enjoyed his Dragon roll. We liked the portions of our orders and the prices are reasonable. Since our meal was great and the place is nice and clean, we will come back to Momo Island and try more of their sushi.

You'd think maybe they serve momos given the name, but no, this isn't a Himalayan hash house. Just imagine an island where they served just momos. Anyway, this was no-frills, student-priced sushi rolls, and they ain't nothin' wrong with that. Now Jamie W. and I aren't struggling undergrads worried about getting laid before our senior year. No, that was last semester. We just like a bargain, and we couldn't help but step in and partake. Why not have a couple of rolls during our Saturday Berkeley jaunt? The first was the $7.75 Rainbow Roll...yes, $7.75 (photo: The second was the $7.75 Sakura Roll, which was a jacked-up Alaska Roll...yes, $7.75 (photo: Listen, the quality was middling, but the quantity was the same as any sushi house charging at least twice the price. Certainly hard to bypass even if you're late for class. Meet you in study hall. FOOD - 3 stars...bargain basement sushi rolls AMBIANCE - 3 stars...not much on atmosphere SERVICE - 3.5 stars...they're certainly quick about it TOTAL - 3 stars...not an island of momos RELATED - In the mood for sushi? Just an FYI: Momo was sold. The new owners aren't really friendly. Even though it's less than a block from my apartment and used to be my almost daily lunch spot, I don't have the urge to eat here. I went in once to try to connect with them since I was a regular customer with Shane the previous owner, but they were not receptive. Just wanted to let you guys know so you don't feel mislead by my previous glowing review! Btw, Shane is now consulting with other sushi restaurant owners to grow their businesses and basically replicate Shane's Momo. He's doing one in Alameda. If you miss the old Momo, DM me and I can find out where he's at now.

$130 for sushi what THE ACTUAL f**** First and secondly DO YOU NOT CHECK for some sort or ID to match the card used!? Because I live in Kansas and didn't order postmates from you. Get in contact with me to resolve this issue immediately. I'm appalled such an expensive restaurant wouldn't do their due diligence in making sure a stolen card wasn't used.

I ordered delivery so I can't speak on customer service or restaurant itself. I ordered a philly roll, rainbow roll and some kind of spicy roll, I forget the name. They were fair priced and plentiful. The fish itself was fine. The problem is my spicy roll had very soggy shrimp tempura inside. The texture was awful. That roll and the rainbow were super salty. Not like soy sauce salty, but like salt was sprinkled all over the roll. As you see in the photo, the wasabi was definitely not wasabi. I've heard of restaurants mixing horseradish and peas to replace wasabi, and that's exactly what it tasted like. I ate 1 piece of each roll and could not finish. Such a waste of money and food.

The food is always well prepared and delicious, workers hands over fantastic customer service. I like how neat it is and atmosphere. Keep up the good work.

Great food, nice staff, constantly good mood. They charge reasonable rates and the food quality is excellent. Highly recommended.

Don't eat here. I got the eel dish from Snackpass and all the meat I got were TINY TINY pieces. Wtf???? I did not pay a premium price for COSTCO SIZED SAMPLE BITES. Super mad, not worth my time. Forgot to write this review til Yelp reminded me and I got mad all over again. Ugh. Save your money, time, and sanity. Just avoid this place.

Good sushi for the price when you bring in cash. I get the tempura roll every time plus sometimes a Berkeley roll as well and I get 12 pieces for $7, I tried one of the special once for a little higher price as well, and those are okay, but I just stick with basic ones. If you're looking for an affordable sushi fix in the basic roll department, this is your place. The owners are friendly since I've been coming in for a while so they definitely recognize regulars!

Only went once, and certainly will never go again. The BBQ unagi bowl was priced at $17, and depicted in a picture as fairly large with 6 generously sized pieces of unagi. The actual meal was, quite literally, 80-90% rice, with 6 teeny tiny slivers of unagi thrown on top, and small sides of seaweed and pickled radish composing the remaining fraction of a meal. The meat could not have been more than 2 oz total, and tasted below the quality of your average affordable sushi restaurant. If you know how to make white rice at home there is nothing of value in this menu item. The disparity between price and value is monumental.

Would give a zero if I could- ordered a caterpillar roll with virtually zero unagi- it was literally comical how little unagi came with the roll. For a roll that cost $12 dollars I was expecting more. The other 2 rolls I ordered weren't great either. Double tuna roll had double the rubbery tuna for $15.50. And surprise! The unagi killer roll came with two tiny pieces of unagi on top. I was definitely killed by the utter lack of unagi that Momo island provided. In sum: come if you really hate unagi.

I'm so sorry but it wasn't very good! I feel so bad since the staff was so nice. I ordered the poke special it's flavors and textures were a bit off. The rice was stale. The poke special is a lot of food and looked pretty but it didn't taste very good.
