tasty food that always hits the spot. it seems like a cute family run place that usually have tables open. service was great - we went in around 30 minutes before closing but they were still willing to serve us. have to order rice/naan on the side on top of original dish so it comes out to be on the pricier side. garlic naan was a bit too oily, so id recommend the original one to go with the curries.

Mount Everest is a small family run place with authentic decor - quite a few artifacts from Nepal are seen. Their service was prompt and staff was courteous. We had Hakka noodles and veg Momos. While the food was average, the portions were quite generous.

As a born and raised Berkeley gal this restaurant was one of the places that has been around so long you never end up trying it because it blends in. I was very glad I took a chance though. The food is pretty good! Entrees are around average price (15-20) and of course like most restaurants you have to order everything individually. The bottom floor seating also has a view into the kitchen which is nice but I will admit I would've preferred a slightly brighter room, the string lights and small lamps were not my favorite ambiance. But overall worth a try and now one of my go-to comfort foods!

Decent Nepali/Indian restaurant. Naan is delicious. Prices are not.
The Nepali biryani and chicken vindaloo were incredible! I love this place, everything they have is consistently good and the atmosphere and service is also great. The flavors in each dish are so balanced and delicious. I’ll be back.
Definitely one of the better Indian/Nepalese restaurants in Berkeley for sure! Service was quick, and they're super accommodating with the spice levels, and make sure to adjust accordingly. The interior is really beautiful and there's lots of natural lighting, so it's really nice to sit inside and eat. They have a wide array of items to try out, so I'm definitely going back and trying more of their stuff :)

My favorite Indian place in Berkeley! I get this whenever I'm craving something quick and flavorful. They are always really quick for me to pick up and there's always a good amount of people there. My favorite is always the Butter Chicken, Chicken Momos, and the Garlic Naan!

Been going to Mount Everest since college, which is like 20 years ago. Good to see a local store still around. Lots of things around campus are so trendy and pish posh now. They have a dish called lamb boti kebab, which is one of my favorites. Love saucy kebabs!!!
