Very rude and nasty attitude from one of their workers here. I see now from other reviews it might be the owner who’s just rude and nasty.I had paid for extra meat on their bacon banh mi and saw them only placing one and I asked and they gave me a rude reply that there was already extra. Mind you I experienced this a previous time and asked, didn’t curse, wasn’t rude, I said this happened last time too there wasn’t extra meat and the person snapped at me and called me cheap.Only one single piece of bacon was there when I came back home and checked. They are rude and stingy with their portions, doesn’t even taste like authentic Vietnamese food.Come here if you are desperate for rude and entitled service, lackluster flavor and miserable portions (even after adding $$ extra).

Got a bánh mì chả lụa (they call it a district 3 ? lol) and it was good! Normal and what you expect from a banh mi shop. What’s interesting about this place is their very lavish colorful names based off of areas of Saigon and other places in Vietnam for what would otherwise be pretty normal banh mis so it was a bit funny as a Vietnamese person but yeah. I also got the coffee which was quite good. Prices though… I mean it is Berkeley what can I say.

I have a chicken banhmi(no. 2) added avocado and the chicken is sweet and tender !especially the bread is so soft..I like it but I am not sure that is the “baguette “or not(I think usually banhmi is made with the baguette.) I want to try other menus next time. ?

Ask for extra jalapeno, they give me two little slices. On the whole sandwich. Is that some kind of casual racism thing or what am I supposed to think about that? Two little baby slices of jalapeno when I ask for extra? Tall Hispanic guy. That's not very

Great sandwich. Nice staff. Clean facility. Parking is a bit of a challenge when UCB (four blocks north) is in session.

Terrible service. Yet overshadowed by the crusty bread and meager serving of pate. Disappointing.

Very tasty but pricey. Par for the course these days. I'll stop by again when I visit Amoeba next time.

If you want a overly charred pork banh mi this is the place. Viet coffee was also burnt flavored.Get the #2 Mekong chicken.

I ordered a grilled pork sandwich. It was fine. The vegetables were a little too sweet for me and I wish there had been more meat on the sandwich. I know to order double meat if i order again.

No thank you or anything, unfriendly demeanors especially coming from the owners who runs the shop. Banh mi is average and not worth a return visit.

If youre craving for banh mi in Berkeley, then Nom Nom is your place. A cute little spot for a snack or quick lunch.
