COVID-19 has really tanked their service and quality. Service: We placed an order at the walk up window. They said it would be ready in 15 minutes. After 45 minutes waiting outside in 110 degree heat and no food in sight, we checked in and they said a colleague forgot to label the bag.The pastries were super dry and crumbly, as if they'd been around awhile. The lukewarm pastrami was fine, but the bread was mush after sitting around so long. Social distancing:Few masks, full review

Will always be one of my favorite eateries in Berkeley get the pickle plate, some sort of brisket or pastrami, at least one latke, a cup of matzoh ball soup, celery seed soda, and the chicken livers are excellent. Don't forget to take home some smoked trout for later, it makes excellent salads and snack boards.

I was supposed to go to New York for the first time earlier this year, but obviously COVID got in the way of that. Ever since the trip cancelation I had been craving some good Jewish deli food and finally was in the Berkeley area during lunch time and decided to place a curbside order at Saul's. I absolutely love pastrami and rubens, so I knew I had to get the Ruben with pastrami instead of corn beef. We also are fans of liver so we decided to give the liver sandwich a full review
