I've been wanting to come here for months and am glad I finally got the chance to! I got the Mini Palettes ($6.99) that comes with 4 mini scoops, sticky rice, and one topping -- I also added the homemade pandan waffle bowl ($1.50). The ice cream was good, the Mango Passion Chilli stood out to me the most, and the real rockstar item here was the sticky rice! In the future, I'll be sticking to the sticky rice and passing on the icecream and pandan waffle.

The ice cream didn't taste that great. My daughter asked for a cup for her order, the cashier curtly said no while shaking her head with purses lips, as if it was the stupidest thing to ask for. Didn't appreciate her attitude.

Got a scoop of Thai Tea and Taro with a scoop of Pandan sticky rice underneath. Loved the flavors and the sticky rice but I wish the scoops were bigger as it cost around $7-$8. Hope to come back to try the sesame and pandan gelato. One thing I didn't like is how the spoons are out for everyone to grab/touch (especially during Covid). I wish they would only let the employees hand out spoons.

Though we've been putting off stopping here for quite some time (see: "we have ice cream at home!" "I don't feel like dessert right now" "we'll go tomorrow" etc. etc.), we finally caved after WFH forced us to appreciate businesses that were very, very close to home. And with Secret Scoop within walking distance, we were heavily inclined to give it a shot.I'd recommend against trying to park near here. With the shop on the lip of a busy road (limited and hectic street parking), you're better off parking in the Trader Joe's garage and making a stop here after grabbing groceries.TARO: YOOOOOO. This is like a taro slushie, but infinitely better. Try it and thank me later.STRAWBERRY LAVENDER: So floral & lightly fruity. I'm not the biggest fan of lavender as a scent, but the ice cream iteration is divine. This was my bf's favorite!THAI ICED TEA: Exactly how I anticipated-- a frozen Thai tea. While still delicious, I'd opt for one of their more unique flavors next time.JACKFRUIT: I've only had jackfruit once, so I can't speak to how similar this is to the real thing-- but I loved this tangy-sweet taste. More of a sorbet, this flavor has an icy, sour bite. Uniquely tropical.TOPPINGS: I didn't think that warm sticky rice, lychee jelly, and ice cream would go well together, but it does. Like a weird, unexpected harmony. I love that their sticky rice is almost marshmallow-y in texture.A bit pricey for the size (the Mini Palette is nearly $9 for 4 mini scoops), but I don't mind paying extra towards a local business's specialty flavors. I only wish that the pandan waffle bowl was a little less crispy-- it's almost tasting burnt. What a local treasure! I might've overlooked this spot had it not been for their bright pink signage. Secret Scoop is really tryna stay a secret with how easily I could've missed it.

I got the Thai iced tea ice cream and honey vanilla banana flavor. These flavors were alright for the price, however, the pandan waffle cones I got with these ice creams were terrible! They were stale, and super hard to chew. It was like gnawing on beef jerky. Would not recommend getting the waffle cones, stick to cups..

I was searching for an ice cream place in the Berkeley area and got really excited when I found this one. It looked like they had really unique flavors as well as some cool looking drinks and even Kaya toast! But we weren't super satisfied and unfortunately didn't even finish either of our scoops. It might have been the flavors we ordered, but sadly the ones we did want to try were sold out, like vanilla honey banana and melon. We chose the salted tamarind and the jackfruit jasmine flavors, hoping for something unique. The salted tamarind was unique indeed, and they weren't lying about the salt! I could've finished but I wouldn't order the flavor again. The jackfruit jasmine was more floral than anything. We didn't really get a hint of that identifiable sour jackfruit flavor, and it just tasted way too floral, nothing like the subtle hint of jasmine floral flavor. Maybe if they have their drink menu available or more flavors next time around, I would love to update my review.

What's the scoop, doc? I noticed how incredibly cute the Mini Palette with Pandan Waffle Bowl (~$7) was so I had to try it! The mini palette was perfect to sample different flavors. You get (4) flavor choices of mini scoops, Pandan sticky rice, waffle, and a topping. Some unique flavors include: Thai tea, Salted Tamarind, Soursop Ginger, Durian, Jackfruit, Taro, Chocolate Lemongrass, Roasted Coconut, Strawberry Lavender, etc.. Topping choices include: Lychee Coco gel, Tropical gel, Jackfruit, Roasted Coconut, Mango Mangluk, and Chocolate Cookie Crumbs. I went with Thai Tea (My fave! It was mild in tea flavor but still noticeable and really good. I got 2 scoops of it), Berry Sorbet, and Roasted Coconut ++ topped with Lychee Coco gel. Their "gelato" did not really taste like gelato but it wasn't quite like ice cream either. Hard to describe but it was somewhere in between. Flavors aren't overly sweet and taste like actual fruit, not artificial. Sticky rice was pretty good with a glutinous texture and a mild Pandan flavor. Make sure to eat your ice cream quickly or else you will find yourself with a bowl of melted ice cream soup. Literally. All in all, very unique flavors, portions are on the smaller side, price is ok, owner is very nice. Get the Thai tea gelato!

I really enjoy coconut ice cream and came here mostly to satisfy a craving for that. I came on a weekend night and it wasn't too packed so I had ample time to try some of their different flavors and ended up choosing the Thai iced tea flavor and the coconut. They also gave sticky rice on the bottom of the cup as extra! I had expected the gelato to be creamier than it was but actually liked that theirs was not as creamy as regular gelato. The sweetness was also much lower than you would expect in gelato but I actually enjoyed that too. The coconut gelato is so refreshing, especially on a hot day, because it's not overpoweringly sweet like most gelato can be. I was very impressed by the coconut flavor overall and that will keep bringing me back. The Thai iced tea flavor was more mild but decent -- it's a good complement to the coconut but alone I would probably not opt for that one.

A relatively affordable treat, even if the gelato isn't as thick or creamy as you're used to seeing. The twist here is the unique selection of Thai and Asian-inspired flavors. Two scoops - one of the vanilla honey banana and one of the salted tamarind - were only $5.75. The consistency and taste were more like sorbet than gelato, but this actually made for a for more enjoyably light and refreshing treat that I'd expected. Bonus: starting at 5.30pm they have a "happy hour" where you can get free sticky rice as a topping (or, in this case, a bedding) to your gelato. Also, you can get a free topping any time of day with a Yelp check-in.

Strong durian flavor gelato. What else do you need?

I'm sorry, the Mango Aloha Cup looked NOTHING like advertised - see photo. My cup was barely 3/4 filled, while their menu shows it stacking generously past the top of the cup. And this cost me a whopping $7, are you kidding me. The girl helping us seemed very nice but I don't think she really knew what she was doing...I mean, she had to literally look at the photo while assembling the order. I'm not one to cause kerfuffle unless an order is obviously wrong so I didnt say anything, but I'm traumatized now. 1 star for the unique flavors and 1 star for being edible.

Great little place with unique flavors

Tried the gelato here. They have pretty unique flavors - my favorite was the roasted coconut, followed by the Thai ice tea. The latter really tasted almost identical to the drink! I thought portion size was a bit small for the price, however, and the gelato was more on the icy side than the creamy side. Also the sample sizes they gave were tiny - literally the smallest samples I have ever been given in a gelato/ice cream shop.

Terrible service, tasty ice cream! This review is only based on the rude lady at the counter. I came in with my kiddo and ordered 2 scoops, after I noticed the price for a single scoop was $3.49, and a double was $5.49. I told the cashier I'd go with a double. I then picked a scoop of the kaya (coconut/pandan) and a scoop of the jackfruit gelato. When she rings me up the price was for $7...... I told her I ordered a double. She proceeded to roll her eyes and said I asked for ONE scoop of kaya, and ONE scoop of jackfruit. WTF lady, obviously 2 scoops equals a F-N double!!!! Needless to say I'll never come here again. My ice cream was pre-made in a cup and frozen. The coconut was not gelato. The ice cream had other flavors than what it suppose to have which was chocolate. Dry disappointing. Final note; someone must of pissed on the girls Cheerios because she was not pleasant at all.
