Great place for Chinese. Fine dining, great staff, great bar, clean, classy for College Ave, but it will cost you.

Okay can I just point out how big the freaking potstickers are? Holy cannoli..they were yummy too! Service was great, the owner recognized my friend and came over to our table to greet us. Very nice man who ensured we were taken care of. You know how some Chinese food leaves that nasty greasy film after taste in your mouth? Not here. It aimed to please especially with its serving sizes and I didn't get the "bloated" feeling afterwards. First timer here, I will surely be back.

Meh. Ordered the chicken chow mein, 8/10 tasty first bite. Pork buns and shrimp+crab dumplings were barely edible. Would not recommend coming here. The chow mein is the only reason this isn't 1 star cause DAMN

Amazing. Some of the best chow mein I've ever had in life. Shrimp and chicken were amazing quality. It's expensive for chow mein, $20.. so minus a star for that. The portion is large. I literally was blown away !! The flavor without soy sauce was good but after adding chili oil and soy sauce wow. Green onions, mushrooms, asparagus pieces, and spinach all fresh just so good. I'm telling you it was just all that.

The Fried Noodles and Walnut Prawns were delicious. Sichuan Tea Smoked Duck a bit dry for us. The Spicy Dry Fried Chicken was not spicy at all and it was not dry. I can't tell if the flavor supposed to be sweet spicy? For me its flavorless tho. The server very nice and friendly.

This used to be a great place. Sadly our most recent experience was far from the memories we had of this place. Service at the restaurant is horrible. One just does not feel welcome. Waiting time is eternal. It took more than 20 minutes to get our first dish. We had 2 type of dumplings and they were both dry. Shen Hua beef was flavorless and chewy. Beef was of poor quality and overcooked. Tea duck was awfully dry. Other customers at the restaurant were also speechless about the waiting time. This place is clearly privileging the take out orders vs. the restaurant customer experience. Given the quality of the food and the poor customer service we will not try this place again. There are other options in Berkeley. Do yourselves a favor and take your business elsewhere.

Excellent food and service. The Dim Sum was good but the wonton soup, green beans, and Kung Pao Chicken were excellent. Was so hungry did not get pictures this time but will in the future!!

Great open environment and gracious service amidst worker shortage. Ed, the owner, helps with cooking, bartending while adding a smile when you say hi. We go almost monthly with family and friends. Noodle dishes. Manchurian beef, dry string beans and their Asian curry are very tasty dishes..add a Marguerita or a pitcher of Old Fashion and it's party time.

I had the broccoli beef, potstickers, and the sizzling rice soup. To be fair the sizzling rice soup was pretty good and I enjoyed it, but it had virtually no chicken in it as advertised. The beef in the broccoli beef was flavorless and textureless, I was very disappointed with how that came out. Finally the potstickers were a very particular flavor and I understand how someone would like it, but I was not a fan. Overall, poor quality and I really feel where they cut corners in price.

DO NOT eat here. The quality and price do not align. Moreover, I ordered beef and a third of the box was full of lettuce. This was not a garnish - literally more than a third of the box, at the bottom, was packed down lettuce. When I emptied the meat out, there was about a portion and a half. I have ordered from here for years, but they have really been cutting corners lately. This was it for me- I was completely ripped off. Becky's Chinese food is in the same street- less expensive and great food. I will be ordering there from now on.

I unfortunately do not have a positive review to write on here. Ordered take out from caviar and tried the beef and broccoli, string beans, lemon chicken, and combination chow mein. Not one item was edible. The chicken was rubbery and impossible to chew, the beef was the same. The noodles were slimy and flavorless and the green beans had so much ginger in them that it completely overpowered the dish (and the beans were stringy and soggy). $83 later and we had to toss most of the dish. Very disappointed.

I had the worst customer service with one of their host. He is bold short guy.He is very rude.As a DoorDash driver I have been delivered thousands of deliveries since COVID-19 out break and I never had any problem with the restaurant’s that I dealt with. Please be advised when you dine in the restaurant.

I ate this food so fast I wasn't able to take a photograph. It is by far one of the most fantastic Chinese restaurants in the San Francisco Bay area. It's so incredible, I encourage anyone to try it if you haven't. I really can't get over how every single bite is delicious. Each dish is so unique. And the food is so much fun. They have such a big variety of Northern Chinese food. I've been taking my wife and kids to this restaurant for over 20 years. I was so happy to see that it survived Covid. Let's keep it alive for another 20 and more!

Soggy, not very fresh tasting, and not much flavor/spice. Pot stickers were deep fried

We had a wonderful experience here with a large group. Our favorites and what everyone in our party raved about for days??? The sesame beef, sautéed garlic spinach and the hot and sour soup. This will be my exact order when we come back. The hot & sour soup is THE best I have ever had. Unique and tangy.. give it a try
