This location is now closed, and it doesn't look like they're coming back. I'm very curious about what will pop up in its place. I used to come here on-again-off-again roughly twice a month over the last few years (including some big gaps where I got tired of it). They were always okay, for a Subway, but never anything special. Now that they're gone, anything more that I would write in a review is no longer relevant. Peace be with you my sandwich-giving-friends. I wish you the best.

This place is good if you are really hungry. I only get veggie pattie, salmon, and with all the vegetables. Comes out pretty good and fulfilling. That's just how I like it.

This location needs to close!! Useless waste of space. How do you have signage stating the prices, yet try to over charge for the sandwich??? Sign said the 6 inch sub was $5.29 and the cashier told me that's not the current price?! HOW??? If it's posted THEN THAT IS THE CURRENT PRICE! I have never called anyone a ding bat, but the cashier working that day (Saturday, March 22 at 2:20 pm) is a ding bat! I tried to tell her in business you can't do that, you can't make up random prices. I reported the location, and the cashier to the Subway corporation. Just like I told that dingbat I would.

This is a review of Subway in general, not this specific place. I used to eat at Subway 7 days a week; frightening but true. It's reasonably healthy for fast food and shops are everywhere. That is, before they changed the "frequent customer" reward deal. Problem 1- they established a new system where the reward system needed your email or something to identify you. I don't like that. I don't want to be marketed to and I don't want my damn sandwich eating consumption to be monitored by the sandwich industry. I immediately stopped going there all the time which has, no doubt, improved me as a human being. Problem 2- they changed the rewards system further by making it less rewarding. Now you have to buy several million sandwiches (or something) to get a free one. That was hyperbole, folks. I do still eat at Subway , once or twice a month, maybe. Do the math, sandwich industry. Cheerio, dear friends.

I'm genuinely surprised this location has such bad reviews as I've been to subways by the Cal campus and another in West Berkeley and always felt like I was testing my luck quality wise. I've had people at other locations pile everything on one side only, be extra skimpy, or try to rip me off. I worked at Subway for two years so I guess I judge the quality based on this. The workers at this location were fast but detail oriented and they didn't skimp. I also liked that it seems the owner/management scheduled enough people. Most Subways do not schedule enough people and customers don't realize there are hours worth of food prep that need to be done while serving sandwiches. Only thing is that I think it's ridiculous they don't offer water cups at this location. I get it cause people take advantage but still think it sucks.

The way they acted whenever they served you not so good, maybe because they are Indians so they don't have good costumer service always kinda rude!

I never really choose to go to Subway but when I do, it's because I want to be thrifty. I had a coupon for a BOGO and they apparently don't accept coupons. Also, they have the slowest service of any Subway that I've been at. I'm definitely not returning any time soon (unless they bring back the $5 footlong).

Subway has been my go-to lunch spot in 2 different cities for over a decade - I've probably spent somewhere in the ballpark of $15-$20K eating footlongs. Recently, my local subway closed and rather than being up-front about it, they made a "temporary closure" sign so I biked to it daily for a month...apparently the closure was indefinite. I assumed this was outside of their control so I chocked it up to an unfriendly universe and start frequenting a new subway. The new subway has less-competent staff and doesn't know my particulars. Obviously, this is fine, they are just getting to know me but they over charge me for a sub of the day and lie to my face when I point it out (I have the receipt to prove it so I wrote to subway to note that I was overcharged). Today, I went back thinking I'll give them a second chance and they under charge me and ask me to come back in the store to re-pay ignoring the large tip I gave them and the 8+ people waiting in line. I'm sad to say today broke any lingering desire I still had to patronize subway. Amazingly, it wasn't your incompetence or literal stealing from me but rather your inability to simply write me back (even an auto-response beyond "we received your comment") to say sorry you had a bad time at one of our stores that finally did it.

Brought in a coupon that says buy ANY SUB and ANY drink for another sub for free that is equal or lesser in value. I needed one foot long that was vegetarian and another that was not with a bottled soda. She took the coupon and says I can only get six inch and fountain only. I thought the drink was understandable but I asked where it says six inch only on the coupon (because it doesn't say that) and she could not understand a word of English or she was pretending that she could not... I was reluctant but I needed this for work and agreed to two six inches. I asked for herb and cheese and she cut a foot long in half and said you get a foot long and half is free. I needed one regular Italian but just went with the foot long herb and cheese.. This is not the first time I had trouble with this lady here. Believe it or not I'm typically very softspoken and understanding but at 8am in the morning under a time crunch I was quite frustrated with how little English she spoke and her unwillingness to hear what I was trying to ask respectfully. There was not a SINGLE customer there except myself and I don't think I was being one of those unreasonable customers. Last time I was here she was on her phone unaware of my presence for what I believe is an unreasonable amount of time and could not understand "toasted" and "changing bills". English is not my first language either but she has one job to do here and clearly has been working here for quite sometime and I don't get how she doesn't bother to learn basic restaurant vocabulary or at least try to listen to you before passing it off with her "lack of comprehension". I'm sure she's a nice person outside of this job and I understand this is not her dream career but can she try just a little harder for better customer service? Quite annoyed and frustrated. Probably the worst subways I've been to. Losing interest in Subway I miss the good old subway deals I used to get back in sch

Today had a Worst subway lunch with bad customer service. The 2 Hindu ladies that work there are rude to customers and don't know how to take orders right..they don't know how to clean because the tables were dirty and I would understand if they were really busy they didn't have time to clean but there was only 1 customer when we came in and We had to get there attention because they were chit chatting in back and soda fountain was full of ants crawling around and they just want to rush the customers away

This is the worst Subway I've ever been to! It must have been over 90 degrees inside, ceiling fans were off and no ventilation. A woman named Preet was the only one working and while she spent 15 minutes (not exaggerating) making two sandwiches for the guy in front of me, she was also continuing to f*** with and talk down to every dark skinned person that walked in. When asked if she was familiar with discrimination laws, she said no. When asked for her managers name, she refused. A group of kids wanted to buy a couple sandwiches but while in line she was so mean to them, they left. This woman should be fired! And the sandwich bread was so dry it ruined it. Zero stars for this location and the racist behind the counter.
