This hidden gem is awesome. Stopped in here to grab a salad with chicken, to go. It was one of the best I’ve ever had. Very fast service. Looking forward to returning!

Delicious food made with fresh ingredients plus great desserts/baked goods. Definitely on the pricey despite self service. Steak sandwich and fried chicken are delicious. So are the desserts

Recently discovered this place on College Ave. Great little casual eatery. Perfect place to pick up food to go - but they also have places to dine both inside and outside. I’m a huge fan of the spiced chicken sandwich.

Definitely mixed feelings during this visit. I typically will visit a place a couple times before making an assessment, but the final interactions with their staff was extremely off-putting, and we will not be returning. This was my first dining experience here, and a friend and myself arrived around 6:35 PM. A steak sandwich and salad were ordered along with 2 glasses of wine were ordered. As we finished paying, we were advised that they were closing at 7:00 pm. We were told to take a seat and that food and beverages would be brought over to us. The young lady taking our order was extremely friendly and pleasant. We took a seat outside. In about 8 minutes, our wine was delivered. Our food was dropped off at 7:00 pm. My friend and I ate and were engaged in conversation... as is typical when dining out with a friend. Around 7:30, a young gentleman made a comment they were closed. We apologized and said we would hurry. He also made a snarky retort stating "yeah, that's why they delivered the food at 7." insinuating that 30 minutes was far too long to be eating a meal. My friend looked at me in disbelief and questioned if he she heard correctly. At that point we decided to leave. As I walked past the door, the young man was noticed inside with his hands in the air and muttering something to his co-worker.Whether he was continuing his rant directed at us or not, that's what it seemed like. Based on our interaction with this staff member, neither of us would be returning. While we recognize everyone wants to finish their work day, there was no need for his comments and poor attitude. This situation could have been handled very differently. A simple check in stating they were closing up would have been taken pleasantly. Unfortunately, due to this final interaction with this staff member, neither of us will be returning. This is disappointing because I can see why this place has great reviews. There's a lot of charm, it's cute, and is a great casual dining option. While I was not expecting a fine dining experience, I do expect a much better attitude from any associate. We were not being rude to him at all. What also irks me about the situation is that a tip was given at the time of purchase. As much as tipping culture is getting out of control, this reinforces the belief that tipping is now expected for doing absolutely nothing. I apologize to those in the service industry that actually try, but these experiences (which come up far too often now a days) is becoming a common occurrence. I do understand that this is a one off experience, and I do hope that others have a much different one then we did.

This place has some of the best baked goods and hands-down, the best egg salad sandwich you’ll ever have. I don’t care if you like egg salad or not you will love the sandwiches.

Our club had a gathering of 25 people and we needed sandwiches for our group. We contacted Summer Kitchen who graciously took our order to be ready the next day. Our variety of 4 kinds were prepared to perfection in freshness of bread, the meats and veggies. Thank you to Summer Kitchen for saving our lunch. We'll definitely be back!

I have been coming here for years and love it. My favorite is splitting a delicious mushroom pizza and kale salad for dinner and for lunch, the veggie sandwich is perfect. I'm a vegetarian but did try a bite of the pepperoni pizza once and it was so good. This place is very special.

Not sure about the baked goods, but we came here for brunch and it was really underwhelming. Ordered a crispy chicken sandwich which was lukewarm, not crispy, and super small. The sandwiches appwar to be premade, and they just warm it up before serving it to you. And it costed like $16. We also ordered a salad with added chicken which they forgot. I asked again, after which they charged me for the additional chicken again, and didn't even bother to mix it into the salad; they just gave me a tiny bowl of chicken pieces for another $5. Terrible experience.

Local fast casual that I frequented before moving to Sacramento. Great for a quality quick lunch/dinner if going to Greek theater or movie. Counter service but food is brought to table. Delicious fried chicken and ?!

I would not recommend this restaurant if the owner Paul still works there. He was so rude to me.-edit-Since they are under new ownership, I will change my review. The food here was good when I went there and definitely worth a try.
