THE OWNER SEXUALLY ASSAULTED ME. I placed a phone order here yesterday when I arrived for pickup it seemed like the restaurant was closed. A guy opened the door and let me inside, he then asked me to come to the kitchen with him, turned out he hadn't even started preparing my food. I was upset but since I had already paid I decided to wait. He started asking me personal questions and tried touching me. He got aggressive when I told him to stop, He grabbed my arm and said "what are you gonna do." I called the cops and drove home. He got my number from the store phone (I'm assuming) he's been calling and texting me from different numbers. I will be taking legal actions. Please be careful and don't support this establishment.

We are in a pandemic and the shop owner was licking his finger to open a plastic bag in front of me to put the food items in it. When I stared at this, he quickly washed his hands without soap and continued..Not only it was disgusting, we know how the virus spread and such careless could not be forgiven. Apart from this the food was horrible..there were rice in the curry. And roti was with black coal...

I, ordered a chicken Tandoori . I had no Idea what was that. It wasn't a chicken Tandoori at all the chicken was raw and the food was awful but the important things that i wanted to share is they are adding a tip for pick-up after you sign the receipt ( any where from $2-$10) . So he made a mistake on my instead of $2 he charge me $200. I went back to him and ask for refund, he did refund and give me a receipt then he cancelled back the refunded amount so the credit never shows on my credit card statement, so now i am disputing through my Credit Card Company. Just Watch out for these kind of crook people .

Came today for buffet and last Saturday. Drove 30 mims don't think it's worth it or I will come back again. The pakoda was not fully cook so we were able to taste the raw flour . It was disgusting. When we came in they asked whether we want naan - and we said and they said it was included in the buffet. But didn't mentioned to us garlic naan wasn't - so when I went pay they charged me 6 dollars for 2 sets of naan. But last Saturday garlic naan was included in the buffet. We came back to support small business . Very disappointing

My wife and I love this place! The food is delicious and always comes out fairly quickly. I've eaten Indian food all over this country and most tend to run a bit expensive (especially curries and tandoori dishes), but this place has the most unbeatable prices for Indian food in the Bay Area. The most bang for your buck! You can tell the chef has cooked for years and the staff is always quick to give us great service. You have the option to also choose varying levels of spicy for the various dishes (depending on your tolerance) and always ask about their specials. My favorite dishes here include the Butter Chicken and Tandoori fish with Naaan or Tandoori Roti.

The food was just okay. Chicken tikka masala was the best out of all dishes. I would avoid eating the drumstick. As it seems to be under cooked. But it is relatively OK for the price you pay. It is all you can eat after all

I am so happy I found this place again! I used to eat here years ago and forgot aboot this place when I moved away. Such fresh herbs and spices used in the cooking. Good service, and very nice music. Great prices also!

I go here more than any other restaurant. Great good, great service, great prices. They remain competitive and their food remains delicious, they are kind people and they know good business.

Drove here for the "super buffet" on a Sunday and was really excited. Got here and they said they don't do buffet on weekends and looked at me if I'm crazy... The literal menu they handed us says: Saturday and Sunday, super buffet over 30 items. $14/person.

We stumbled upon this place walking on university and it was amazing! Super affordable and the food had great flavor, the portion sizes are also very big great for sharing dishes. We got the lamb tikka masala and chicken tandoori both were very delicious I will definitely be going back. I highly recommend this place for students looking for high quality affordable food. The owner was also amazing shared his story with us and made us feel very welcomed.

Really lovely place with some amazing service! Got a table reserved for a group of students and ordered food in advance. They were very considerate and communicative, and the food was delicious! They really made it easy for us to reserve and order food in advance and we're flexible to our needs based on the changing numbers of people in our group. They're very personable and caring, and I would definitely recommend this place especially for students and large groups! Thank you Waheed and everyone at Taste of Pakistan :)

Whoa whoa whoa hello delicious flavors at affordable prices in downtown Berkeley! My friends and I were craving something comforting on a chilly winter Saturday night and all the spots we initially aimed for had super long lines so we ended up here (and glad we did!). It was super quiet for a weekend so we were seated right away and were so happy to see entrees under $10 (the only ones above $10 were the seafood items). We shared 5 items: - Butter chicken: probably everyone's favorite dish - Chicken tikka masala: delicious! - Eggplant (baingan bhartha): I looove eggplant, but unfortunately this one fell short. Way too many large onions and not enough eggplant. - Saag prawns: I've had better saag, but the prawns themselves were decent. - TOP bread basket: might be the best naan I've had? The garlic naan was definitely on top for each of us. Definitely recommend this spot if you're craving Indian on a budget. They have a lunch buffet too. Tons of seating.

The food is not terrible, but clearly the owner doesn't know how to operate a restaurant. He thinks because we are a cheap place, you should expect low standard service. Well, I am willing to pay more if the place is more attractive. The whole place looks like a terrible university canteen instead of a restaurant.

I ordered via UberEats. The food was just okay. I’ve never had Saag Paneer without rice on the side before so I was a little disappointed this didn’t come with it, maybe that’s a NY/NJ thing? The mango lassi was so tightly packed that when I put my straw in the top exploded and my hand fell through. That was a really frustrating experience. The samosas were doused in pepper and otherwise lacking in flavor. The Aloo naan didn’t have the ingredients as described on the menu.
