Great food had me full

I am surprised at how bad the food was: it lacked flavor, texture and quantity. My box was full of noodles with barely any entre and it tasted so bland and dry. Id recommend choose a different chinese place in the area..

The food was ok, not really flavorful. The noodles were pretty greasy and chewy. The meat was mushy and the customer service was terrible. She didn't speak to me, I had to initiate the conversation. The atmosphere was dirty and cluttered. The trash can at the entrance was covered so it's not even being used so I had to carry my trash to a trash can on the corner at the stop light. The cook came out and sat down and he was dirty, clothes, nails, apron needed a wash like a month ago. I would not suggest eating here. It's really not worth it and the food is expensive. I spent $23 for food that shouldn't even be sold. If you've never eaten here, don't!

Wanted a quick lunch but my broccoli beef was cold but good. Everything else was good for the price. $9.99 for one entree and one side.No soup or cookie. It’s a quick simple lunch.

I went to grab a quick bit to eat for lunch. I had been looking for a combo plate spot like this and was not disappointed. Reminded me of the cheap takeout places back home. For the price the food was good. Probably not the most authentic or best Chinese in Berkeley, but still good for quick bite to eat. I got the fried rice, orange chicken, & Mongolian beef. The Mongolian beef was really salty so I didn’t finish it, but everything else was good. This place will be added in my list of quick cheap eats but it’s definitely not anything super special.

I read the other reviews and thought maybe I would give it a try. My personal experience was that the white rice was stale and the sweet and sour chicken tasted dry and stale with sauce that seemed to be added in for taste. It seemed that the food was not freshly made on this particular day. There are other options within walking distance- I don’t think I will be coming back.

I stay in Berkeley a lot and I mobile ordered here one time. I walked from my hotel to shattuck ave and picked it up, no wait time at all! We need to promote this business because their was not one in there! Anyways, I ordered salt and pepper chicken wings and some fried gyoza.SOOO GOOODDDD!!!!!! I wish I took a photo.

80% dry day old rice, 10% raw onion and bell pepper chunks, 10% high sodium processed “meat” that I’m pretty sure is made 50% from wheat protein. Its def not all beef. Msg headaches later. Never going back.

I'm picky when it comes to chowmein but the one they serve here is personally my favorite!! The rest of the items are tasty too! Will definitely come back here!

I was starving around 2pm at Saturday afternoon. After hanging around Berkeley downtown, I found that Tasty Express is still busy although it’s already over lunch time. I thought I will wait for a long time because I’m at the bottom of the queue but it didn’t(Staffs are doing great jobs with serving all customers quickly and friendly). I got my food immediately and dine in here. The environment of Tasty Express is tidy and comfortable with the Chinese popular songs. The food is similar to Panda Express but I think is much more delicious(and fresh) here with the great portions and valuable deal.Definitely recommended if you’re hungry and don’t know what to eat when you’re around Berkeley. I will give it at least 6 stars if I can lol

A pretty good deal for the price you pay! Not too stingy on the serving sizes too. Wish there were more variations but honestly, it's quick, warm, and delicious so can't really complain! Edit: a couple bites into their Mapo Tofu, my tongue feels tingly/kinda numb and it has given me this almost metallic taste in my mouth. I'm not sure what this means, but something to keep in mind.

Awful. Food was cold and chewy. Sauce is bad. Chicken bad bad. Oof. Wont be back. I would avoid.
