Good location, curly fries were DELICIOUS, chicken sandwich was unfortunately "eh". Id come back for more French fries but not the sandwich.

SPICE! This place is dope. Minimal menu but I've enjoyed everything on it. Wings and spicy chicken sandwiches are dope, perfect spice but not overly reliant on it... plenty of other good flavor. The chicken sandwich has fantastic pickled veg and slaw on it which add some acidity to the spice. Quality is consistent too. My go-to spicy chicken sandwich is always the same level of crispy, juicy, spicy, saucy, etc. Kitchen is on point. I much prefer the spicy chicken over the naked chicken sandwich, but for those who don't do spice, the non-spicy is still a solid choice.

A simple menu, but what they serve they do incredibly well. The spicy chicken sandwich was delicious. The beer selection is good for the type of food, and you even get a cute can koozie/sleeve.

Great fried chicken sandwich and yunny curly fries!! I got the classic (non spicy), but my friend got the spicy and said that it was very overpowering (she normally can take spice well), so I'd advise caution on the slice unless you're really tolerant.

Great ! The Spicy chicken has a really good kick. Their loaded fries are bomb. They even have a happier meal where you get a beer with your meal. A must Try place for sure. 10/10 in my book

Great chicken biscuit! Crispy and tender. Curly fries are great. Great service. Tasty dessert, can't remember the name but they look like cinnabons

This is one of my favorite places to eat on Telegraph. The fried chicken sandwich is exactly what you would want it to be, with crispy chicken piled with coleslaw. The curly fries are always cooked perfectly, and are definitely a must-have. I also really love that they have a mini chicken sandwich, which is the perfect thing for those times when you're hungry, but just not hungry enough to eat a whole sandwich.

Fried chicken sandwich is amazing. Super flavorful and crispy, and the spicy one is definitely a little better since it packs more flavor and isn't too spicy. There is a good amount of seating and it's a nice chic setting. The curly fries are also quite good although for 2.5 may not be worth it. Would recommend overall though!

I've been looking for options of to-go food to bring into ball games. I had the spicy chicken sandwich. It was great. Simple, didn't fall apart, and still had plenty of flavor. Their chicken was moist and juicy. It was spicy enough to be set apart as spicy, but no where near enough to grab a glass of water. The curly fries were average, as you could find anywhere. The price was slightly more than average I would think, but won't stop me from coming back.

I love fried chicken sandwiches and I love the Bird. Hands down the best fried chicken sandwich in the Bay Area. (They taste even better than the SF location for some reason.) And quite affordable as well!! The regular sandwich is great, but if you have an appetite for spicy, the spicy fried chicken sandwich is even better. I frequent this spot almost every other Weekend for a quick lunch and I haven't been disappointed even once!
My friends and I came by for the 1st time on Sunday. The food was really good, the chicken was spicy (no complaints here!), and the customer service was excellent. We ordered the chicken sandwiches, the wings, apple fritters, and the loaded curly fries. Everything was hot, fresh, and tasted great. There's plenty of seating for groups and the bathroom was clean too. Also huge shoutout to this establishment for having a compost bin! The only thing I'd recommend to this place is to have toothpicks for customers. But that's not a requirement, just a suggestion :)

Great salad. Regular naked chicken kinda funky breading, weird flavors. Perfect for college kids

Dinner time in Berkeley and I have walked by The Bird several times. Plenty of customers and a daily special remarkable priced, fried chicken sandwich, curly fries and a beer for $10 and change! Since I was on the "clock" the beer would have to wait, and I had a soda and took my order to go. When I arrived at the clinic and started to eat, several folks saw my meal and said: "ahh The Bird"! I tore into my sandwich and instantly winced at the taste of the apple purple slaw on the fried chicken sandwich. Not a fan but the rest was simply delicious. Now I know how to order my bird. Note, The Bird basically sells only chicken sandwiches. Check their web site for the full menu. Side note: if my next restaurant only offers 1 main entree, (think Sliver, The Bird) then a pattern is taking place....

Super simple menu, all of which revoked around the chicken. Good thing, too, since that spicy chicken sandwich is so good.

Been meaning to try the bird and got a chance for lunch it was aright. The spicy bird wasn't spicy at all but the sandwhich overall wasn't bad. Moist chicken and packed with cole slaw on decent bread. Only gripe was that it wasn't spicy! The loaded curly fries were good, curly fries overall were good but the bacon bits and cheese made it all that much better. Service was really good and the environment is super chill. Great price for the sando/fries.
