This is not a hotel. Historical educational place. Great place for learning. My first time at Berkeley. It was a life long memorable experience.

Great piece of history on campus that also has decent food and a cool little bar tucked away on the corner. The staff are great to work with. Not sure what staying here is like but probably a step above a 3 star hotel. Book ahead of game day. Nice spot on campus.Walkability: Close to campanile and HaasNoteworthy details: Cool historical lodge feel. Great patios to rent out.

The atmosphere is relaxing in the long dark wood hall with high ceilings , a bldg designed by Maybeck in the early 20th century. I have had lunch at The Faculty Club nearly every day for a few months and they always have reasonably priced nutritious and well prepared food. The hrs they serve are 11:30-1:30pm and the week's menu is posted of their pre-prepared specials of the day fare which ranges from Chicken Cordon Bleu, Butternut Squash Ravioli, Borscht, Enchiladas, Salmon etc to the everyday Burger grill offerings including tacos and a salad bar.

Charming old campus building tucked into the woods on campus. Interior is mostly dark wood, with nice classical furniture. Food options are decent.Rooms: Many rooms have shared bathrooms (a sign of the building's age).Walkability: On campus, very close to many academic buildings.

I had the privilege of staying at this historical landmark which was built in 1902. Generally the building functions well for something that is more than 100 years old, but there were little things like a leak in the ceiling, limited hot water and creaky floorboards with minimal noise insulation. I personally am not bothered by this because it is part of the charm. The building is always busy with different social events and patrons visiting the dining hall. The downside for me was that there was no fridge or common microwave that I could use to heat my leftovers, you would need to inform the front desk. All doors are locked past 7 pm so guests would need to ring the doorbell to be let in which may be inconvenient. The breakfast is minimal but sufficient, but the location is fantastic if you need to be in the heart of UC Berkeley, and it's accessible to lots of surrounding restaurants and Bart station.Rooms: Basic rooms with no fridge or common microwave. The room is spacious and the decor is antique.Walkability: The location is close to the Bart station and other landmarks of the UC Berkeley area and Berkeley downtown.Noteworthy details: Very kind staff who pays attention to details like your name and always taking the time to check in on your wellbeing

Lovely service and choices. But the sauces were a bit off for the bimbambap.Noteworthy details: Walkable, but lots of stairs to and from the parking lot. There was probably a simpler path than the Google directions

I got breakfast and lunch during my time at the Faculty Club. The complementary breakfast which had pasties, fruits, and teas - self serve. I also paid for a breakfast and got the Golden Bear which is the classic breakfast. For lunch, I got the sandwich with fries. Got the creme brûlée but they overdid the burnt sugar. Forgot to mention that all dishes comes with freshly cut fruits. The dining atmosphere is nice a cozy. Get a window seat if you can as you get a nice nature view of UC Berkeley.Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was comfy. When night falls, the halls are quite dark and hard to see. It is a historic hotel so maintenance of the rooms is hard to upkeep. Just let staff know and they did their best to accommodate.

Attended a wedding here, beautiful location and everything seemed to go off without a hitch. Or with a hitch I guess, but only the right kind.
