Love this place so much. Not only are the kebabs terrific, the sides are super delicious, espy the lentil and carrot salad.

like many others have said, the portions are small. not small, ridiculously small. for two kebabs, one of which vegetarian, we ended up paying 50$ before tip, and not in a place where you can claim the rent is astronomic. also the things that cost very little, for some reason are given in appetizer quantity at most. the quality is ok, not great but not bad, but just do not go there if you want to eat. go for an expensive snack if you really have nowhere else to go.

Camino was one of my favorite Oakland restaurants, and I was so sad when they closed down. But enter the Kebabery, the brainchild of Camino's founders, still creating some of the best food around! Their menu has changed a bit during the pandemic, but they're back to their more regular offerings now - kebabs, wraps, soups, lentils, pickled vegetables, and other perfect dishes. Our go-to order is: + LAMB KEBAB PLATE w/SALAD, HERBY YOGURT, GRILLED FLATBREAD, PICKLED CHILES (and an extra kebab!) + CHICKEN KEBAB WRAP w/an extra mushroom kebab! + CAKE OF THE DAY (weekends only, whatever MaryKate--aka Camino's pastry chef aka an amazing pastry chef with her own place opening soon-- puts on the menu) They also sell (sometimes) their house-made red wine vinegar by the bottle, which I absolutely love and save for special occasions. Highly recommend!

Order your dinner NOW! You'll thank me :) Such yummy food. I always end up with a big smile on my face. I love their lamb kebab plate with the cauliflower (tasty!) and daikon (it's a bit bitter but in a good way) sides. The lamb kebab is perfectly seasoned, with even more flavor coming from the yogurt sauce and touch of hot pepper sauce. So many flavors that blend really well together. Thanks Allison, Russ, and the rest of the staff!

Stumbled across them during a jog, and came back a couple of hours later to actually get some food. There are not enough good kebap places in the Bay Area, and this one is an amazing example for how the food should taste, and why I miss not having more of them! Nicely seasoned & baked flatbreads with character, delicious marinated meat & excellent pickles, what's not to like? Will be returning again and again!

Happy Valentine's Day to us. Finally getting to this review. We decided to get the Kebabery because they were having crab made like how it used to be at Camino Restaurant an old favorite that has since closed. They had a special Crabbyy Valentine's Day menu: Half Grilled Dungeness crab with herbs and pickled Chile mayonnaise: out of this world delicious. Grilled and Smashed Potatoes: ok but such a tiny amount Chickory & Daikon Salad:ok and a bit on the small side Extra Fancy Chocolate Cake from Sesame A Tiny Bakery: not good but looked pretty The crab was so over the top delicious that I am still giving 5 stars even though the rest of the meal was just ok and the cake was bad in my opinion.

We are locals and have been wanting to try this spot. We stopped by last night and ordered the plate and the sandwich, as well as fries and a drink. The food was good and fairly quick. However, the portions were very small, especially for the price (around $50) and when we got home, we realized they had not included the fries. Fortunately we live close, so we were able to head back and ask for them, which they did then provide. Not totally impressed overall; the food was good but not the best kebab I've had, and missing food and having comically small side portions convinced me that we probably won't check this spot out again.

Food portions are tiny. My delivery showed up and was missing three items we ordered. No way to contact the restaurant. I know times are tough but if you want to survive you have got to focus and deliver on your promises. I will never order fro here again.

Amazing local spot! We just moved in around the corner from this place and were so excited to try it! They're a small neighborhood place that does some amazing food. The lamb kebab sandwich was quite hefty with very nice meat and veggies. And we also got a skewer of chicken kebab and one of mushroom kebab, both of which were super tender and juicy and flavorful! The spiced fries with herby yogurt came as a huge bag of fries that were very spiced (almost too much) and the yogurt dip was excellent with them. We definitely want to try more of the menu in the future!

The fried chicken was the bomb! What is on that sauce?

The kebabery is a favorite neighborhood spot for us. The food is healthy, delicious, and filling and the vibe of the space is welcoming and fun. I especially enjoy their tasty flatbread, radish salad, and grilled mushrooms. We've been enjoying their takeout during Shelter in Place, and look forward to when the restaurant fully reopens.

The food is hella good not gonna lie about that. The service is OK. The portions is a disappointment for the price. Location is in Emeryville/ Oakland. I don't understand why the price is so damn high. Hella simple hella small

TL; dr: Small, casual neighborhood spot serving lightly seasoned food except for zingy veggie pickles, tasty house-made hot sauce, and well-salted french fries. Stopped by on the last night of ORW and realized we've been here before under different reincarnations (the restaurant, not claiming past lives). The special was half Dungeness crab grilled, served with spicy mayo with spicy fries plus rice pudding ($30) or mushroom kebab plate ($16.50). Both came with choice of 2 salads, and choice of flat bread or lentils. We coordinated to have both and all 4 salads. Red cabbage "saurkraut" was light on fermentation but I enjoye its fresh crunch. The carrot salad was oddly dry and spongy, like the shreds had been wrung out? Radish salad was mild. The pickled cauliflower and carrots had a bright acidity and retained their bite, a nice counterpoint for the meal. Liked the flavor of the dal-like lentils and the light char on the flatbread. Tried Westfalia Red Ale (can), much maltiness. The grilled king trumpet mushroom was meaty/chewy as expected. The half crab was pre cooked and warmed on the grill, and served chopped up (some halves looked much bigger than other halves) No seasoning but served with a tasty spicy mayo. Enjoyed the mayo with the spicy fries which were well salted but didn't seem spicy. Really liked the rice pudding - surprising because I usually think it's overly sweet mush, but this one was not-too-sweet and had distinct but tender creamy grains. The place is small. You walk in, order at the cashier below the big hand-written menu on the wall, take your number and drinks and grab an open table or grab the bench seating in the front window (or hang around and haunt the people eating - dude who stood facing me square on as I ate, maybe don't) Like I said, it's small. Maybe 2x 4-tops, 6x 2-tops, 5 counter seating facing the front window onto Market St, and 12 high counter seating facing the small open kitchen. If you come with a (small) group, try to get here at opening. Don't recommend for a big group.

Enjoyed a quick dinner here. The service was good and food was very tasty, especially the cauliflower, and beet salads. The food is seasoned well and it all seemed very healthy.

its been a while since Ive been here and the food was better than i remember. Not sure why Im not eating here more often. So Good!!! a bunch of reviews say its overpriced but I dont think so. tons of food for a reasonable charge $13 for large sanwhich with side salad (hard to choose which salad) or $16 for plate that comes with flatbread (to make a sandwhich) and 2 side salads. and the people are extemely friendly and helpful when ordering. Keep up the good work. I will be back soon.
