Really nice place for a family with young children to spend a sunny afternoon. Lots to see and touch. There's a really well designed park in the back to let them loose toward the end.

The kids always looking forward to Saturdays. Because it is the time we spend our time and bonding here in the playroom. Their place was tidy and sanitized. The staffs were very alert and entertaining. They have soft and kiddie music playing and sometimes the kids sing along. The kids love the place, especially their big slide! They had so much fun.

Creative spot for play dates and birthday parties! Needs more natural light and cleaner toys.

We held our daughters 4th birthday party here. It was great - very clean and simple. The person who helped us was friendly, helpful, and professional. I would repeat.

Nice spot, good for variety of young ages also with a baby section. A little confusing how to get coffee or food when I was there, there is someone at the front but no one at the food counter.

We had our twin's 1st birthday party here and we couldn't be happier with our choice to do it at The Rec Room. Parties are hard enough without factoring in babies and kids but Annie, the owner, and her staff made the whole process so smooth and easy. They helped with the whole setup and decorations, clean up, and made sure throughout the party that everything was running smoothly. I actually got to enjoy the party, mingle, and eat! We had a traditional Korean birthday with an intricate table set up (see photo) and I was worried that I wouldn't be able to set it up just by looking at a picture. But Annie came to the rescue and readied everything in a jiffy. Last but not least, the place is perfect for your little one. So many fun activities for kids in such a cute space. I highly recommend and I definitely would hold future parties here.

Nice indoor playground, loads of different toys, paper, colors etc. Wednesday Song Hour was awesome! Friendly staff. Adeline St. is a little dodgy, tough...

I've been to this place a good amount of times. Would say to parents who are thinking of visiting parking is very limited. I've had to street park every time, in near by streets. Yeah is not in the nicest neighborhood will stumble across some homeless or people hanging out on a corner so if you're afraid of that then maybe find a different place. Nobody has ever said anything to us or broken into our car. Still recommend not to leave any valuables visible but that's just common sense. This place is definitely suitable for the younger I would say 2yrs the most. Place is cozy I would say not big but very bright and open so if your sitting in the table area you can keep an eye on your little. There's a cafe where you can order coffee or other snacks for littles or yourself but is managed by the same person taking the admission, so you do have to flag them back over. Fun sing along classes offered some days but I do recommend to call to make sure it is in fact happening because they are not great at notifying you if class has canceled for the day. Specially if you registered online. Over all it's a good place to bring the littles to have free time while you work or have to get something done on your computer.

Super cute, clean place to hang out with your kiddo(s) and get some work done. Or just read a book for a bit!

Visited this place as an entertainer for a kid's party. I thought it had cool nooks for solo kids to tinker if they didnt feel like socializing. Didn't have a large space for group activities, but everyone was having fun no matter what. Fun for me!!
We had my daughter's first birthday party at the Rec Room yesterday and I don't think it was a good choice. 1. The space is long & narrow. It's deep & dark inside so it's very hard to photograph. We had a good photographer but it's only so much she could do in a dark room without natural light & without space to set up any lighting equipment 2. It doesn't have a lot of seating. I didn't think it would be a problem because I frequently just sit on the ground with my kids. However after the party I was told that some guests were very tired standing the whole time, including those wearing a short shirt, and elderly family members who couldn't sit on the floor easily. 3. There's a shared street parking lot right in front but it's hard to find a spot. There are no parking lots nearby so some guests had to park a few blocks away. 4. The set up time was only 30 minutes, otherwise you will have to pay extra. I read the Yelp reviews before booking that others had apparently received useful help in decoration but that was not my experience at all. They said that they could decorate the room with the props they already have at no extra charge, and I happily agreed to that. But when we arrived they brought nothing out from the props the previous parties left there (which I saw they have a bunch a few weeks before the event). I was expecting at least a happy birthday sign. Fortunately I brought a "happy birthday" sign, and some other little things to decorate. 5. The staff wasn't easy to find once the party started. I verified before the party that I could store a 10 inch cake in their refrigerator. However when the cake arrived it won't fit in the refrigerator even if we take all the food out. I searched everywhere but couldn't find anyone to help me. It wasn't worth the $475 I paid.

If you're looking for the perfect place to host your next event, look no further! The Rec Room is your one-stop shop to hosting a magical get together. We had originally planned to host our daughter's 2nd birthday at our house but given I'm 8 months pregnant, I decided to browse for venues who could make the job easier! I looked at the website, booked a tour and was sold! Also - doesn't hurt that there's a summer promo going for $100 off your event! They help you with decor brainstorming, you could bring your own food & booze, coffee and tea is provided and their amenities for kids is fantastic. It really takes all the stress off of you so you could enjoy time with your guests! Annie (the owner) was a gift sent from above. She hustled so hard behind the scenes to ensure everything was perfection. She assisted with day of decorating, facilitating our crafts, keeping an eye on the clock so we could keep the party moving, tidying up after the guests, and on and on! The Rec Room made our girl's birthday so memorable! Thank you, Annie & Paisley!

I agree with some of the other reviewers- this place has no standard timing. Looks like whoever is managing this place is doing so because they would like playdates for his/her kid while Someone pays them. One day finally we managed to get in but the lady at the front desk was so rude and off putting that we decided to leave. There are several other much more decent places run by much more civil people.

I really wish this place had their stuff together. The space is awesome and the music class we attended with Jamie was great. However, in my two experiences with The Rec Room I've had a couple major problems. One, I registered online, and paid for, The Messy Art class. I accidentally paid for 2 participants instead of one. When I came in for the music class I let them know of my mistake and the women working said they no longer offered that class and she couldn't believe it was still on the website and charging people for it. Last i checked it was still on the website and sending me notification emails about the class. I asked her what other classes they offer and she said they didn't have any to replace it yet. Ok, that's a bummer, but at least we have the free music class....I registered for the music class and showed up for it the next day only to find out it was canceled. Before I said anything I checked my email to see if I got a notification...nope. Nothing on the website either. Cool, so I drove 30 minutes to change my baby's diaper and leave because there's no music class and no one let me know. Would have been really easy to do since I registered for it and they have my email. I'm annoyed big time and wish the business was ran better. The woman working (same as before) was super nonchalant about the fact that they didn't send anything out or put it on the website to let folks know. Really? Update your website people! Hope they get their stuff together soon or I'm afraid it won't be there much longer.
