Hidden gem! Probably my most favorite boba place in Berkeley. I highly recommend the roasted Oolong with boba.

This is the best boba restaurant in Berkeley!! I had Bomba matcha, and it was sweet yet bitter and delicious!! Milk tea in Okinawa is delicious!! The pearls are really sweet and chewy, so delicious☺️?Parking: There is a parking lot in the back that is paid on weekdays and free on weekends. You have to park on the street on weekdays, so it's a bit inconvenient to drive there.

Fast service! Small shop but they have about 6 or so tables to sit and enjoy your drink. RIGHT across the street from UC Berkeley campus, so perfect for the students!Ordered off the HOT DRINKS list and got the Bomberman and the Passionfruit green tea. The passionfruit green tea just sounded so good and fresh, got it with 50% sugar and mmmm lovely fruit green tea drink. The bomberman was on the hot drinks list and the picture looked good so I decided to try it. It was white like milk and had lots of honey drizzled on the side of the drink with boba at the bottom. WHAT A SURPRISE, the boba was so warm while the milk was cold, nice mixture of cold and hot when you take your first sip. I didn't realize it was a milk drink, but expecting it to be milk tea haha. Anyways... it tasted like straight up milk which it was and I didn't shake it before drinking it so I RECOMMEND SHAKING THE DRINKS FIRST haha. Then it tasted like a honey milk with boba drink, fantastic. It was a great drink, but I prefer milk tea drinks so I will try the milk tea version next time!

The drinks we got were good: Lychee Peachy and rose milk tea 25% sugar, w boba. I felt bad for the staff there, she was just one person making everyone's drinks and food. It was also super hot in there for some reason. It was sunny outside too. Anyways, shout out to the lone employee! I'm glad it didn't seem too busy when we were there.

I pay for extra boba on both bomberman but I don't receive the extra portion i paid for. Try calling the store over 10 times, no one pick up.

U-cha is my favorite place to go in Berkeley for some delicious boba! They have such a wide variety of options, so you know they have something for you. My personal favorites are the rose milk tea and the signature ‘Bomberman’.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Ucha in Berkeley, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I stepped foot inside, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a charming ambiance.U Cha is a charming little tea house that offers a unique twist on traditional Asian beverages and snacks.Speaking of the menu, U Cha specializes in a wide variety of tea-based beverages. From classic milk teas to fruit-infused blends and even specialty concoctions, there was something to suit every taste. I opted for their signature U Cha milk tea, and it was a true delight. The tea was perfectly brewed and had a rich, creamy texture that was incredibly satisfying. One aspect that could be improved upon at U Cha is the seating availability. The space is quite small, and it can get crowded during peak hours. However, the cozy atmosphere also adds to the charm of the place, so it's a minor inconvenience considering the overall experience.

Ucha can be summed up in one word for me - reliable! Happens to be really close to work (so it's somewhat "dangerous" in a sense) - it is there in a pinch and when I give into a craving.Psst, old timers who racked up some frequent customer points at Ucha pre-COVID (back in the day when you used a business card sized stamp card) - if you kept them like I did, you can still bring back your stamp cards to have it entered in their rewards. It used to be that you can order on snackpass and ask for the drink to be counted for in-store rewards, but recently, as there is understandably a separate point system on snackpass, I think you'll have to diverge on snackpass and in-store rewards as separate programs if keeping both alive. Helps if ordering in store but wanting to still claim rewards points!

Even though they gave away my drink and I had to wait almost 30 minutes for a new drink, that Bomberman drink is AMAZING.I got the bomberman drink which is brown sugar milk with boba. I didn't want anything caffeinated since it was 8 pm, and the bomberman doesn't have any since it was pure milk. One sip and my eyes widened. The drink had the perfect amount of brown sugar and my taste buds were happy dancing for the rest of the night. There was only one girl working in the back and there were about 15 people outside waiting. When they texted us that our drinks we ready, we still had to wait 10 minutes. I found out that my drink was given away because my bf got his drink first. Don't text customers if drinks aren't ready yet or let customers know there's going to be a wait when placing an order.

U-cha is a pretty great boba spot. They have really good diversity in their menu, and have about everything you could think of. It's a fun spot, especially because the snacks that they offer here are also fantastic. I would come here solely for their fried squid.
