I was really excited about Udupi, because I really like dosa, but I'm sad to say I wasn't terribly impressed. I got the normal masala dosa, and the filling was too salty, and there was too much of it in proportion to the dosa itself. The service wasn't always out in the main area, so they were difficult to get a hold of.

We were at Udupi Palace for lunch. Quiet place with friendly staff. We ordered plain dosa, masala dosa with a idli vada combo. We also got a bisibele baath and bagalabaath for later. The food was delicious. Especially enjoyed the sambar and chutney and the idli was better than any restaurant idli I’ve had in the US. The bisibelebaath was outstanding. Highly recommend!
